If Donald Trump cared about the rule of law and about his own supporters the way @julie_kelly2 does, then he would be hammering every 48 hours on TV and in press releases about the abusive, Putin-style actions by the Feds against the 1/6/21 Selfie-Takers. Nobody cares.
The burn-cities-down-due-to-policy-brutality crowd hasn’t said a word against the Cap Hill Policeman who shot to death at close range a military vet who tried climbed a window frame and was no immediate threat to anyone (and could have been tackled to the ground if need be).
The more you observe the response to violence, police brutality and hate crime, you notice that many people are driven by politics: If it fits their team’s agenda, they are all in. If not, they don’t care. So many people who “as a Jew” ripped Trump for anti-Semitism, have not
spoken up when @Ilhan and other Dems popped off with hate, and some of those “as a Jew” voices are silent or fuel hateful media items against Orthodox Jews; the wing of Judaism most susceptible to suffer antisemitic incidents because their garb shows them to be Jewish.
Dozens of blue checked voices wrote that the #BoulderColorado shooter is white, but those people are silent now that we know he is a Muslim. If it is ok to make it about race with whites then why not about religion with Muslims? Both should either be ok or not ok. (Not ok, BTW.)
There is a move against mentioning the geographic origin of Coronavirus. Calling it “the China Virus” is seen as offensive (despite the fact that Spanish Flu etc were called by name). But slamming Orthodox Jews as a collective regarding the virus (by use of fake data) seems ok.
Many people want to change gun laws after mass shootings. Those shootings are horrific but are less than 1.5% of annual homicides in the US. Meanwhile, every year over the last 5 years ICE arrested 1,800+ people in the US illegally who are charged with and/or convicted of murder.
It’s mostly young males from the same 3 countries.
1,800 murders a year is more than 10% of the annual murders in the US.
If you are, rightfully, looking for solutions against 200+ murders a year (caused by mass shootings) why are you not more worked up about the 1,800 ones?
Back to 1/6/21: It makes sense that the Feds handle the few dozen who were violent against officers, but the Feds have almost 400 cases on 1/6/21 and the charges are, essentially, trespassing and protesting without a permit. Indeed, Feds often bring up new charges later once they
have more evidence to bring complex charges, but this isn’t the case with 100s of people (veterans, handicapped, young adults) now targeted by the Feds despite not doing more than entering a building (which many thought is open). The Feds used cellphone signals to track down
and interview people who did not commit violence; were not in the building and who were not even at the rally! Yet, the Libs who were worked up about the Patriot Act and who decry PUTIN’s approach to protestors, either egg on this abuse or just don’t say much about this.

force a refresh
“The FBI described messages Vet Thomas Caldwell allegedly sent and received “while at the Capitol,” including one urging him to turn on the gas and tear up the floorboards... Prosecutors now acknowledge... they lack evidence he ever entered the Capitol.”
Reuters: “Prosecutors made some serious claims after the deadly U.S. Capitol attack saying they had evidence rioters planned to kill elected officials... But the DOJ has since acknowledged that some of its evidence concerning the riot is less damning than it initially indicated.”
Many people tweeted current media headlines vs those written when Trump walked slow on a ramp to show a bias that with Trump the focus was on his health while here the focus is a quote from a Biden Spox that Biden is doing 100% fine. But this does not showcase the propaganda.
The propaganda here is that the headlines don’t reveal that Biden fell in full so much so that both his shoes were off the ground! In addition, the photos shown by Big Lib Media (BLM) is from the side with Biden bent over slightly; not a photo from bottom up of the stairs.
Basically, Trump walking down a ramp on his own without slipping gets turned into a major health story. Biden with his shoes fully off the ground is not reported as such (not in words nor in photos), AND the story is packaged as all is good with him. cc @JosephWulfsohn
517,575 people died with Coronavirus in the US since the start of 2020.
226 were age 0-17.
37,537 age 0-17 died of other causes in the same period.
0.04% of all COVID-19 deaths in the US are age 0-17.
0.60% of all deaths in age 0-17 since the start of 2020 is Coronavirus.
The CDC writes that from “December 14, 2020, through March 15, 2021... VAERS received 1,913 reports of death” following use of vaccine which the CDC notes need to be investigated if it was indeed caused by the vaccine (a thing NOT done to all reported COVID-19 deaths).
In Fiscal Year 2020, ICE arrested 1,837 people illegally here charged or convicted of murder.
In FY2019 it was 1,923 arrests.
In FY2018 it was 2,028.
In FY2017 it was 1,886.
This is an annual average of 1,918.
Context: Annually, around 16,500 people are murdered in the US.
2/5 When @RepMcClintock said a few years back that 1,800 people are killed annually by illegal immigrants, @PolitiFact rated the claim as FALSE because @AlexNowrasteh said that annual arrests don’t prove that this amount of murders took place in the year of the arrests.
Arrests in a given year indeed don’t prove when the crime was done, but since the Feds have a stream of 1,900+ annual murder arrests, it either means those murders took place all in 1 year and Feds simply process 1,900 a year. Or more likely it reflects an average annual murders!
@ChaskelBennett Last year, Purim was March 10th. Two days later Trump suspended travel from Europe because things were bad, and within days deaths were spiking in the North East. From infection-to-death takes more time than the days between Purim and the surge. cc @shirahanau
@HaMeturgeman I am not saying that Purim helped matters, but Purim coincided with an existing surge as we see that cases/deaths rose in areas with no Orthodox Jews and it happened in less days than the usual infection-to-death count because the surge was seeded before Purim.
And of course, @ChaskelBennett’s core point stands. Namely that pre-Purim, large gatherings were not yet banned. Indeed, Cuomo banned events of 500 or more on Thursday March 12th which was 2 days after Purim. We also had this from the @NYCMayor:
You cheered when the Capitol Hill Police killed a window-climbing trespasser who was in no immediate danger to anyone and could have been tackled to the ground if she were a danger.
So don’t pretend that you care about joseph Perez in CA or the spray paint case in Rochester, NY.
If some police brutality is ok with you - as long that it fits the type of incident that you think police can run amok on - then you can’t pretend to care when PD is abusive in other cases. You need to oppose it all the time. 1/6/21 is no diff except for your politics.
Hack!
You were against the Patriot Act but you have no qualms with the FBI obtaining broad cell phone records from people who were merely in DC on 1/6/21 not even involved in trespassing.
FBI arrested almost 300 people! There are no 300 violent people that day yet you say nothing.
