The @AP “journalist” that interviewed me for an article about my “unethical” and “political” criticism of @NYGovCuomo wrote this incredibly puffy piece on the governor and his brother in April. apnews.com/article/684cd7…
I was under the impression he was going to interview me about my quest for answers and to learn about my in-laws. Instead it was pretty much a hit job and was never meant to highlight my advocacy or honor their deaths.
There is actually a treasure trove of critical scathing articles David Bauder has written about Fox News so shame on me for agreeing to sit down with him and think he would ever do a fair piece on my behalf.
And one more thing. I was originally supposed to do the interview with @ReporterMarina which I agreed to, but at the last minute was told @dbauder would be doing it with her. I wonder why he decided to pop in at the last minute? I guess I know now.

The moral of this story is: if you work for ⁦@FoxNews⁩, advocacy on behalf of your dead relatives is purely political. If you work for other news outlets, advocacy is no problem at all.

Fox meteorologist Dean turns into fierce Cuomo critic apnews.com/article/fox-we…
I have never been a political person in my life. Ever. Ask anyone who knows me. I’ve been an advocate for #ms for 15 years. What about all the journalists who stand up for things that matter to them? It seems to be fine for some but not for others. Which is a shame.
One of the reporters kept asking me when I’m running for governor even though the subject was supposed to be about my husband’s parents who died in nursing homes. They don’t talk about them until the 9th paragraph. A throwaway quote from my grieving sister in law was gross.

My publicist asked the @TheView several times if I could come on (to promote my book) but also as someone that could talk about @NYGovCuomo and what I've been doing for 10 months to raise awareness and accountability for my husband's parents' deaths. Guess what they said?
And yet @sunny can go on every day and bash other governors (calling the governor of Florida "Death-santis) instead of calling out Cuomo for ordering over 9,000 COVID patients into nursing homes, covering up their deaths and oh, sexually harassing at least 7 women.
I must say that @MeghanMcCain has been trying to shout for months about Cuomo, but when you have all the other women drowning her out and saying NO to her good friend who has been screaming for 10 months, it's kinda telling where their loyalties are.

The media also perpetuated and encouraged @NYGovCuomo’s behavior by asking about his love life (instead of dead seniors), calling him the “luv guv” and “single ready to mingle.” How about this cringe letter to him by @chelseahandler @voguemagazine vogue.com/article/chelse…
Watch this @arobach fawning interview without ever asking about nursing homes:
(It’s a supercut of fawning over him but she NEVER touched the nursing homes. I remember because I watched it and was furious)

Love you ⁦@karol⁩. Here’s her latest in ⁦@Newsweek⁩:

.⁦@NYGovCuomo⁩ Didn't Protect Seniors From COVID-19. But it Was the Media That Covered it Up newsweek.com/cuomo-didnt-pr…
“On ABC's @TheView in October, @sunny did mention the nursing home controversy, but she allowed Cuomo to get away with denying he ever sent a directive at all—before they went back to discussing his love life.”
“Cuomo's June media tour also featured a spot on @GMA where hostess Amy Robach referred to him as "homecoming king of this crisis," talked about his love life and urged him to run for president. He did not receive questions about the nursing home deaths.”

Here’s one of cuomo’s answers about whether or not city workers/elderly can get vaccinated: “you can make a reservation and somebody says that you can come in and get it on Monday, fine, to the extent a hospital says I have vaccine that I can make available on Monday...
fine the hospitals still have to prioritize the health care workers and they have a long way to go, but if they have extra capacity and they can do 1B on Monday  fine but make a reservation.”
Translation: blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Make a reservation.

Here’s some fun stuff I researched after the @WSJ article came out yesterday re: nursing home order to put Covid positive patients into nursing homes:
“Mr. Raske, president of the Greater New York Hospital Association, said he contacted Mr. Cuomo’s team for help with nursing homes. Hospitals couldn’t afford to house recovered nursing-home residents long-term, with models showing they soon could be swamped.” @WSJ
Why is this important? Because
“Greater NY forged a bond years ago with 1199SEIU, a health care workers union, and has presented a unified front against health care cuts. Its president, Kenneth Raske, enjoys a close relationship with Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo...
