It is sad that many people go into relationships without knowing the difference between FEELING COLD/HAVING COLD, & FEELING HEAT/GETTING HEAT.

Clothes that were put on David could have brought some feelings of heat, but they noted that there was no transfer of heat! Why? It was because David was not feeling cold, what happened to David was that he got cold! David had cold.

A man who is feeling cold is not the same as the one who has cold. With good layers of clothes, the one who is feeling cold might feel heat and get better, but winter clothes cannot make a man who has cold get heat! The one who has cold needs proper attention, adequate treatment!

Cold or coldness, which is low temperature or loss of freshness through passage of time, is different from cold- a viral infection! The former is a FEELING while the latter is an INFECTION! You cannot treat feelings the same way infection is treated.

Marriage is meant to treat ‘infection’, that is, what threatens life, not emotions. This is not to suggest that being emotionally dry or dead is spirituality! NO! Jesus wept! (Jn. 11:35). Emotion has a way of PUTTING YOU IN MOTION, but it CANNOT KEEP YOU IN MOTION (going).
