Yeah... this past week has not given me a lot of faith in the U.S. media's ability to recognize and dissect disinformation campaigns. They're sure failing this test
American border discourse is a Trojan horse for thinly veiled white supremacist and eugenicist arguments - deliberately - and it has been since the 1980s at least. The sooner everyone understands this, the sooner we'll get to have an actually honest conversation about the border.

I warned everyone that the border disinformation campaign -- rolled along by the same eugenicists I warned about during the Trump administration -- were going to use this to change the subject. It's so fucking predictable
But at least just about all my colleagues are bravely stepping right up and... going along with an orchestrated disinformation campaign as though the last few years never happened
