And now you understand why the #PeoplesAS30 is so important - namely to establish that Scotparl can legislate for indyref2 and the SNP's bill is competent. Because if we don't - this is what happens! They UK Gov challenges it and it can't become law.
And I can guarantee you, while the Scottish Government are fighting in court, the Tories will change laws at Westminster to undermine these bills which means the court can only rule against them being competent.
How do we know this? Because it's exactly what they did with the continuity bill, now they're doing it with the Local Self-Government (Incorporation) (Scotland) Bill AND the Rights of the Child (Incorporation) (Scotland) Bill. Why? Because both bills...
...impinge on Westminster's ability to undermine the Scottish Parliament and keep it under their thumb.

Im actually quite disappointed in SNP elected members commenting on @KennyMacAskill moving to #Albaparty. If it's the right of the electorate to vote based on their conscience, surely parliamentarians have the same right to do the same if they believe...
...that such a thing would increase the likelihood of delivering the very thing they stood for elected office in the first place. I.e. Independence.

Kenny hasn't abandoned the yes movement. He's simply moved to another part of it.
He's still a pro-independence MP, he's still going to champion our cause, he's still going to represent his constituents. If he'd gone libdem, tory or labour, that'd be different. But he's not...

Here's one to warp your mind. Did you know technically when people say SNP 1, they are actually not correct. Because although a constituency candidate might me a party member, you're actually voting for the person not the party in the constituency. True story.
As for voting for a different party on the list. This is not "cheating" nor is it "gaming" anything. You're given two ballots for a reason - to make a choice. It was specifically designed to give you the option of voting for a person on the constituency and a party on the list.
The choice is yours on whichever you vote for, even if different. So voting for a person (who also happens to be a member of the SNP) on the constituency, then for a different party on the list, isn't gaming, it isn't cheating - It's called VOTING.

Look! I understand people can't get it, namely, why on one hand do you express your disappointment that the announcement of alba may cause issues for you, but on the other hand step down to clear the way and then join them?
It's simple. The two are mutually exclusive. I've tried time and time again to explain that I don't make my decisions based on emotion, I make them based on empirical data and what's best for Scotland.
Now would it be good to be offered the opportunity to stand with ALBA now that there's no longer candidates standing for AFI - sure it would. But I very much doubt that would happen.

Deeply saddened by the announcement that Alba intends to stand a candidate in Mid-Scotland and Fife. As you all know, I was planning to stand as an independent so that, if necessary, a plan B on #PeoplesAS30 could be enacted. I gave up that independence to work cooperatively....
....with other yes supporters to #MaxTheYes at the same time. The announcement today by @AlexSalmond may have just killed the #PeoplesAS30 plan B.
Fair game to a pro-independence party standing, I'm just saddened at the fact that they have the likes of @ChrisMcEleny standing who knows the #PeoplesAS30 give credence to his plan B, just as much as it does for a referendum without Section 30.

I am genuinely flabergasted at what I have just read. This morning I receive an email via a member of the press from a member of the public who works for NHS Fife. They didn't identify themselves, but the are a whistleblower previously known to me who were able to confirm...
...who they were and that the email was legitimate. My records at the board being watched were unable to obtain my new number or email. My social media being actively monitored, the didn't want to reach out via social media - and so they chose to contact me through...
...a member of the press who had written about me previously.

If the accusations contained in that email are anything to go by, and I have no reason to think that they aren't valid (the person being known to me although identity witheld- as a result of the whole situation...

So we have SNP leadership expecting the UK Government to challenge to their bill via the courts. We have the greens confirming they also expect a challenge in the courts. And you have the Tories saying THEY WILL take legal action.
This means the constitutionality of the bill is in question.

Now we have Boris saying he WILL NOT grant a section 30 even if the SNP get a majority. Which means -you guessed it! The only way forward is for Scotparl to legislate for indyref 2 without a section 30.
Wouldn't it have been nice if....oh I dunno....someone saw this exact scenario coming and launched legal action with the backing of 10K people, to establish the constitutionality of the Scottish Parliament to legislate for a second referendum without a section 30 order.
