I am genuinely flabergasted at what I have just read. This morning I receive an email via a member of the press from a member of the public who works for NHS Fife. They didn't identify themselves, but the are a whistleblower previously known to me who were able to confirm...
...who they were and that the email was legitimate. My records at the board being watched were unable to obtain my new number or email. My social media being actively monitored, the didn't want to reach out via social media - and so they chose to contact me through...
...a member of the press who had written about me previously.
If the accusations contained in that email are anything to go by, and I have no reason to think that they aren't valid (the person being known to me although identity witheld- as a result of the whole situation...
...with my mother where she was misdiagnosed by NHS Fife with cancer) then it shows some very serious malfeasance with my 4-year battle to get surgery (which the SPSO upheld the complaint and NHS Fife have been non-compliant)...
...including medical records being hidden or "put to the bottom of the pile", senior staff in NHS Fife joking that if I died, they'd have no case to answer - and senior NHS Staff deliberately interjecting (who shouldn't have been involved) in a vendetta over being embarrassed...
...by the fact that they misdiagnosed my mother with cancer and after a 5 month battle - were found to have done so by another board.
The accusations also include the fact that one of the most senior members of the NHS Fife management has been making phonecalls to other boards about the SPSO mandated second opinion to "keep it off the records" and that the...
...board has been discussing matters over the phone with the SPSO, then only following up in emails with "information they wanted me to see".
It goes on to describe that (despite the SPSO saying the second opinion should be based on "current circumstances" and include an...
...appointment), another board was furnished with records 4 years out of date and that the opinion has already been rendered based on that out of date information.
It also goes on and says:
You should also know that the SPSO have no intention of actually making sure there is a proper second opinion. Their advisors have been making phone-calls to the department about your case and what is on the record does not reflect those calls.
All they are interested in is getting rid of a complaint which is 4 years old. The pattern has been that the SPSO or [Name Redacted] (or another) will speak on the phone and because you request documents regularly, they only follow up in emails with the things that they....
....want you to see.
The SPSO has no interest in seeing you get this surgery and neither does NHS Fife, only to close this as quickly as possible and then ignore you for all eternity. Considering the fact that half of your medical files are missing, your legal case doesn't stand much of a chance.
Even if it means that the second opinion is haphazard and based on faulty info, and even if it doesn't include you getting an appointment
- the SPSO are going to accept it as their ruling being complied with. You should also know that the SPSO has been actively informing on you to NHS Fife about social media posts.
If this is true - that's direct collusion between the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman and a board they are overseeing a complaint with! To say I am absolutely disgusted (especially on the basis of a trusted source) would not even come close to how I am feeling.
But there is one accusation that has me more than disturbed, and it is that despite concerns being raised in 2018 that I might have a heart defect, the concerns were deliberately put to the bottom of the pile!
I mean what the actually f**k is someone supposed to think about all this - I mean .............grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
When you boil all this down. This has been a 4 year fight for a second opinion - Seriously! Why would any medical institution spend 4 years trying to block a....
....a second opinion?
And the health sec shares some responsibility in this. Both her and her predecessor were fully aware of all this and they have done nothing.

So we have SNP leadership expecting the UK Government to challenge to their bill via the courts. We have the greens confirming they also expect a challenge in the courts. And you have the Tories saying THEY WILL take legal action.
This means the constitutionality of the bill is in question.
Now we have Boris saying he WILL NOT grant a section 30 even if the SNP get a majority. Which means -you guessed it! The only way forward is for Scotparl to legislate for indyref 2 without a section 30.
Wouldn't it have been nice if....oh I dunno....someone saw this exact scenario coming and launched legal action with the backing of 10K people, to establish the constitutionality of the Scottish Parliament to legislate for a second referendum without a section 30 order.
I've now been asked 10 times to comment on the ISP article on AFI. My response is this. AFI was established on the basis of unity and working cooperatively for independence. ISP can take as many swings as the like - we'll be putting our energy into challenging unionists instead.
But just for the record - ISP asked me to stand for them - I refused on the basis that AFI had been in the works for years. Their proponents visiting local yes groups around the country. The idea that AFI is not an alliance is ludicrous - BECAUSE I AM AN INDEPENDENT...
Our leader is a retired SNP MSP, our national secretary is a retired green MSP. The whole of solidarity has joined us. We have an ex-SNP MEP. We have AFI direct members, we have independents.....and every single one of them put party politics aside to join AFI.
Engineer: Aye! Yer right, the DLM has just panicked and capped yer line profile. Problem is that it seems ti be stuck and a canny reset the bloody port frae here. Gonna require an engineer to waste his time comin oot just to have to phone his SMC, maybe dae a lift n shift!
I'm having flashbacks to when I was an ADSL2+ Broadband engineer! While telling my ISP's techs that I understand the lingo because I used to do their job, and that expedites things massively because the engineers don't have to translate - but it also has the net effect...
....of giving you horrid flashbacks to an earlier time in your life, and everyone in the room around you looking at you as to say WTF is he talking about!
Legal counsel doing final tweaks to arguments for #PeoplesAS30 which calls in court on Tuesday 6
April 2021 at 10.30 am. The next few weeks will be a to and fro of them responding to us and us responding to them, right up until just before the case calls.
To say I am stressed would be the understatement of the century. With the events of the last month, I don't think I have the ability to impress on people how important this all is, especially considering certain people seem intent on blowing their own toes off.
It's more than a little scary knowing what the consequences of us not getting #scottishindependence in the next year.
With respect to the 4-year hell @nhsfife have put me through (despite the SPSO finding them to have acted wrongfully in 2019), I have discharged my solicitor and intend to do it myself from this point on.
I'd like to thank every single person who has been with me throughout this and has followed the development of this situation. 2 year investigation followed by 2 years of them not complying. I have exhausted the entirety of the complaints process and it has consistently failed.
It would be bad enough if it were just me, but the lack of accountability in the national complaint policy resulted in the same individuals being emboldened to put my mother through hell. 5 months just to get a second opinion from them which revealed they had...
Victory! After a catastrophic set of calls over a 2 day period with a deaf claiming I was assisting with the DWP, it was clear to me that the DWP staff training was (putting it politely) unsatisfactory?
So I have raised the issue directly with senior management at the DWP and the response in writing says the following:
"I have highlighted with Senior Management the need for further information and training to be cascaded to all front line telephony agents in regards to the Relay UK service - Please accept our sincere apologies that this did not meet the standards expected".
