Every election matters, at every level.
What the Republicans always understood better than the Democrats was that politics (and control) is local.

Now they're trying to make it so that Republican legislatures CAN have more control over the counting of votes. See the new Georgia law.
Also, Georgia dropped a few pernicious provisions because of local pressure.

As far as the Georgia law, federal legislation can overturn it. Failing that, Stacy Abrams knows how to mobilize angry voters.
