What’s going on @GavinWilliamson @BorisJohnson? You promised pupils would only wear face masks in classrooms for this term before a review over Easter. So why does new guidance say masks will be reviewed AND that they “will continue to be in place AFTER Easter”. Which is it?
Ok, re masks in classroom... a Govt source tells me that they don’t get the data until next week and will do the review then, adding: "I don’t think the wording had changed on the guidance from last time." We shall see...
And now the Govt website on masks in classrooms has been changed in the past hour tonight to say the measures "will continue to be in place UNTIL Easter." 👀
Let's not forget that the Government/SAGE/PHE haven't published the "new" scientific data they claim was behind the decision to force face masks on our children in the classroom.

I've ask Ministers repeatedly but no one has presented that evidence*.

*Because there isn't any. 🤷🏻‍♀️

A helpful message for Remoaners and #FBPE folk:

One of the strangest things about our Brexit battles is the willingness of those on your Remoan side (ie. not the vast majority of Remainers who accepted the 2016 democratic vote) to dismiss the views of Brexiteers because...

1/
You claim we are stupid, poorly educated & ignorant of the facts.
Not a day goes by when you Remoaners don't tweet about how stupid & ill-informed I am.
You're entitled to think whatever they want, of course, but I'm not sure it's the winning argument they seem to think it is.
2/
I happen to have 3 grade A A-levels (from non-selective state schools, before you ask), a 2:1 from Oxford University, but I also know plenty of people who left school at 16 who are brilliantly clever and well-informed. Yet you think every Brexiteer is stupid regardless.

It is absolutely terrifying how many people in this country think France has somehow brought these Islamist extremists & their beheadings on themselves by refusing to condemn the Charlie Hebdo magazine cartoons of Mohamed. 1/
If you think people in western democracies should not do anything that might offend Islamist extremists, please answer these questions:

When the Islamist extremists start demanding we execute people who want to leave the religion of Islam, what are you going to do then? 2/
When the Islamist extremists start demanding we imprison gay people, what are you going to do then?

When the Islamist extremists start killing their daughters who want to marry a man of a different or no faith, what are you going to do then? 3/

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: Matt Hancock told me on @talkRADIO that the False Positive Rate of Covid tests in the community is "under 1%". Sounds good, doesn't it? WRONG!
An FPR of 0.8% when the virus prevalence is so low means that at least 91% of "Covid cases" are FALSE POSITIVES.
This FPR means that thousands of the people testing positive for coronavirus in the community are NOT in fact currently infected with Covid and they CANNOT infect others with the virus. That's why the "rising Covid cases" is not translating into mass deaths. 2/
Oxford Uni Prof @carlheneghan has already shown that, even an FPR as low as 0.1% in community testing returns *over 55% false positives*.

The Government is planning to lockdown our country again when there is no evidence of a second wave.

We cannot allow this to happen. 3/

Oy @VodafoneUK why don’t the options for titles on your online forms include “Ms”? The only options I have are Mrs, Miss and Mx. One says I’m married with my husband’s name, one says I’m single, one says I’m gender neutral. I’m none of those. I’m a Ms. Why isn’t it an option?
A tiny number of woke souls may use Mx as their title, but *millions* of women use Ms to denote the fact they’re women but their marital status is irrelevant. Why would @VodafoneUK choose Mx over Ms? Sort it out and sharpish or I’ll find a new phone provider.
It’s very foolish for companies like @VodafoneUK to play woke. By all means offer the Mx option but don’t take away women’s choices at the same time. If you can have a sodding Sir and a Rev option, you can have a Ms too. There are a lot more of us women among your customers...

I’ve just had an epiphany that explains why so many people on the Left behave like stroppy toddlers. It all makes so much sense now.
The Left largely live in echo chambers - on social media, the news they consume, their jobs (largely public sector or woke media) - so they 1/
don’t engage with people who think differently from them on a typical day, as the rest of us do.
This has led many of them to believe that what THEY think, feel or experience about something is what EVERYONE thinks, feels or experiences about that thing.
So whether it’s Brexit 2/
Boris, the lockdown, BLM or anything else, they find it impossible to grasp the concept that OTHER people may have different opinions or experiences of those things that are equally true and as valid as theirs.
When faced with someone pointing out a difference of opinion 3/

I spoke with an A&E consultant about the threat of coronavirus last night. It’s been a sobering reality check about just how bad things are going to get and why we MUST prevent our elderly relatives from getting coronavirus. Please read this thread and retweet... 1/
We already know that over-70s are more likely to have underlying health problems or to get more critically ill if they get coronavirus.
But that’s NOT why they are more likely to die of coronavirus.
The reason for that is far scarier. 2/
Older people (not just the very frail & very old but anyone over the age of 65) will be at the bottom of the list when critical care has to be rationed. And it WILL need to be rationed. There is no scenario where the NHS will have enough beds, staff & equipment to save everyone 3/
