Home. It was nice non-insane week. And in theory I have two days off (I just screwed myself, I know) and we’ve got so much yard work. No thinking about violent felonies until Monday...
In the back I see MeanCat and he gives me easily the meanest look in his arsenal. Followed by a ‘what, me, mean? No way’ look.
They’re up to something.
He’s overseeing training of his Orangey Army. I’m sure it’s fine.

Doing yard work while trying to keep an eye out of the Savannah Murder Tiger, MeanCat, is exhausting and terrifying. Oh nothing to see to the southeast. Just a fence..WRONG, IT’S DEATH!!
And when you see him it’s already too late...YOU’RE DEAD, JUST FALL DOWN, ALREADY.
And of course the Orangeys are an adaptive evolving enemy. Oh, it’s nothing to the northeast. Just some bales of pine straw. WRONG IT’S THE EXTRA ORANGEY!! EXTRA DEATH!

In the intro: He talks of the immensely talented young writers in the program: ‘at this level, good writing is assumed. The goal is to help them acquire the technical means to become defiantly & joyfully themselves’.

Again & again i more & more understand the gift & value of my reading & writing. All of which both came from my curiosity & enabled/empowered my curiosity. Every Intel report in my old job, every felony report in my last job. It’s all writing, reading, & curiosity. That’s it.

Long day of yard work. We will get there but man it’s a grind. Almost like work and basically anything worth while. Grand gestures are for frauds. Just do the work, do it well & with clear thought & kind purpose, & then do it again tomorrow. MeanCat watched us to ‘motivate us’...

Building up to be a very warm mid-March day. Nice time to water shrubs and flowers and trees. Perhaps the coolest thing that happened in 2020 was @GeorgeDinesen giving me a lily cultivar she created for me and gave to me. “The Officer Skinner” . Seriously, it’s the coolest thing!
Back to work later this afternoon for the drink and fight fest that is the 10 DAYS of St Patrick’s Day dumb. It’s a bit much. Oh well. At least I get the morning to putter about the yard
Our two blueberry bushes are bursting with blooms. Soon it’s a race between us and the birds.

Home. Interesting day at work, I’ll say that. Interesting indeed. Anyway, Drunk Uncle Orangey was pulling a MeanCat move and was waiting for me on the front steps. I came in all excited and made him a plate and as I walk back in Theresa says ‘yeah, that’s the fourth time today...
Go out back and don’t see MeanCat. People who don’t know where MeanCat is at all times don’t live long in Skinnerville. Found him plotting in the boat. So I’m guessing there’s gonna be a maritime caper soon. He loves his little capers. Legally they’re called violent felonies...
I get jumped going back inside by The Lady Orangey. She’s easily the most gongy gongy of the two new agitator orangeys.
