We thought crony contracts and the chumocracy were bad – but now the government seems to be actively evading scrutiny altogether as the costs go up and the links become murkier and more troubling.
A Labour government would create an Integrity & Ethics Commission to make us a world leader in transparency and good governance on everything from lobbying to stamping out cronyism.
Taxpayers deserve to know how their money is being spent and government has a duty to tell them.
