I just saw a man who championed the Barrington Declaration and lauded Sweden's disastrous approach to the pandemic, condescendingly tweet about a woman -- whose circumstances he knows nothing of -- because she chose to wear a mask in a manner he does not approve of.
When and how does one get out of such a mindset?

Will this poor man ever be able to properly engage with society?

It's quite tragic.
Tired: Shaming people for being outside together in small groups.

Inspired: Shaming people for being outside, alone, with masks.
You'd think a journo would seek to understand the situation rather than lob patroniozing tweets

Is she undergoing chemo? In close contact with someone who is severely immunocompromised?

Is a loved one in the ICU with covid?

Does she live with OCD re: disease phobia?
Why ask questions and learn more (and maybe even write an insightful column!) when you can just seek to validate your priors for likes and retweets?

Well, he deleted that pretty fast!

In conclusion: Always screenshot.
To be clear: People can date (and marry!) whoever they want.

It's the shadiness about that relationship on the part of The Sun and Lilley (given the work he does) that's the issue.

Perhaps Furey could have looked in house to find a pretty significant (and unreported) conflict of interest:
<narrator's voice>

He was not, in fact, better than that.
If this were, say, a Star columnist and Wynne's press secretary, I'm quite certain Lilley and his like-minded colleagues would have demanded some sort of disclosure. canadaland.com/brian-lilley-i…

Look at how much pain she is in, yet she was forced to compete without having recovered from COVID-19 and pneumonia.
When people sincerely wonder whether this sort of abuse of athletes might actually just be "tough coaching," you begin to understand how broken the culture is.
"Her parents must be very proud..." no doubt they are.

However, what they need to be is horrified, as should onlookers and commentators.

Something else: Those who encourage others to opt against the covid vaccine, claiming (among other things) the process was rushed, or the risk of some severe adverse reaction is significant, are indeed anti-vaxxers.
It doesn't matter if they or their kids have been vaccinated for other things. Just like those who were 'only' opposed to or concerned about parts of the MMR vaccine, the end-goal is the same: To discourage a given vaccination.
"I'm not against vaccines, I'm just against this one" is not the scientific stance many seem to believe it is.

Further, standing behind the Great Barrington Declaration which aims for herd immunity 'naturally' over vaccinations is an anti-vax approach.

As someone who has been Confirmed into the Roman Catholic Church and who wishes people a Merry Christmas without any agenda beyond wishing them well, I'd suggest that non-Christians not take up this selfish and childish fight on behalf of Christians, many who want no part of it.
If someone wishes you well in any manner this Christmas and you take offence to their effort, it's you who has the problem.

If you are (ostensibly) wishing someone well with the prime motivation of 'owning' some perceived enemy, you should prob reflect on the faith a bit more.
If Dawkins thinks "Happy Holidays" offends or disrespects Christianity, wait until he finds out how Christians feel about the things atheists - especially the most militant - say about their religion and beliefs.

Joe Rogan features a pandemic denier, anti-vaxxer, anti-masker, and general proponent of bad science, because he is a serious thinker.

And no, Berenson isn't a 'contrarian' any more than Wakefield was a 'contrarian.' He's a charlatan.

Everyone is welcome to hold their own beliefs, but bad science and fringe conspiracies are not harmless.

He presents himself as an antidote to "media indoctrination" b/c that's an easy way to get people to view him as an outsider and 'truth-teller.'
Seth Rich's family would like a word about how 'helpful' Rogan was.
