I was long distance dating a guy who said he hadn’t really read any female authors and so I boxed up and shipped him a massive package of books written by women and maybe instead I should have just not dated that person.

Well this thread has now gotten on the wrong side of Twitter and I suspect it's too late for me to add some nuance. But I will say I have enjoyed some works from some of these authors (not you Bukowski) in my time. It's the CLUSTER of them together that disturbs me as a pattern.

I’m seeing WILDLY incorrect “news” reports based on out-of-context quotes from #TCA19 panels. Be wary of people writing up news who weren’t in the room and maybe be wary even of people who were in the room? I dunno. No shade but maybe stick to the outlets who brung you.

Two inaccurate inferences-written-as-news I’ve seen just this morning.
A) His Dark Materials will be ONLY two seasons. That’s not what they said. They said they shot the first two seasons back to back.
B) Robert Redford will act in Watchmen. Listen he MAY! That would be fun....

...but for right now he’s just on a poster and mentioned a lot (as the president in this alt-universe). I wouldn’t be totally surprised if he shows up but that’s not what the panel said.
