Hundreds of Covid misinformation and anti-vaccine posts were reported to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
They failed to remove posts claiming:
❌ Vaccines cause sterility
❌ Vaccines contain aborted foetus
❌ Masks & distancing don’t work
❌ Homeopathy cures Covid
Researchers reported 832 posts and videos to social media companies, using the platforms’ own reporting functions.
Just 12.5% were acted on. Of those:
❌ 3.9% were removed
❌ 2% were labelled as false or misleading
❌ In 6.6% of cases, the account was removed

YouTube takes up to 30% of every donation made using its "Superchat" feature on livestreams.
It means @YouTube profited from each donation to "Right Side Broadcasting Network" on their 6th January livestream, which stoked anger over "election fraud".
YouTube takes a cut of ad revenue on extremism and lies too.
