The @dapperlabs fundraising news is breaking my brain 🤯

(and it's not because MJ is investing, it's because Dapper Labs just became a Unicorn overnight) 🦄🦄

Here's my *guess* for Dapper Labs' valuation over time.

Today they basically skipped from Series A to ~Series D

Valuation yesterday: ~$70 million
Valuation today: $2.6 BILLION🤯🤯

They're now one of the ~300 most valuable private companies in the world.

This is INSANE

Their last round was $13.4M.

I know that seems like a lot, but that is NOT that much money. Hire a couple top-tier engineers and your run rate is already <12 months.

However, $305M IS a lot of money.

It's insane that Dapper Labs was able to build this off Series A $.

To raise this kind of money at a 2.6B valuation, Dapper Labs' vision has to be BIG. I mean, REALLY BIG.

And with Top Shot, they already have proof of concept. This is just the beginning.

So what's next?? My guess:

1. Hiring dozens of engineers
2. @nbatopshot de-bugging gets 10x faster & TONS of new features
3. UFC launches soon
4. I bet another MAJOR sports partnership is on the way.
5. Crazy stuff we don't even know about

Think about it. If you're the NFL & you want to enter the NFT space, who are you going to partner with?

I don't know, maybe the Unicorn that built the NBA's entire NFT infrastructure?

This is also big for FLOW & more broadly, $ETH in general. But that's another thread 😂
