Forester XT SJG Review! Is it the perfect all rounder? Theoretically speaking, yes. Practically speaking, maybe not.
What did I love about it? It is rapid for a car of that size. The ground clearance is very very good. You can probably drive on 99% of Kenyan terrain. It is extremely spacious. If you are a petrol head dad with two kids who you need to take to the park, you will love it.
What didn’t I like about it? Parts are extremely expensive. More expensive than some more premium brands from Japan and Europe. If you’re not careful it can run you broke very fast.
I didn’t like how sensitive the car is as well. You can do a flat out run from Nairobi to Kisumu on Excellium fuel urudi NRB on a flatbed 😄. Knock is real. So you kinda have to baby it abit and enjoy it for short sprints.
I also found the suspension to be very stiff for a family cross over. The GTI, believe or not, is more comfortable.
The CVT is good enough for most people but petrol heads may struggle to love it. It lags quite abit. And easily gets hot. So you need to manage temps if you intend to drive it very fast for extended periods.
Despite the high purchase price and expensive parts, when you get in it does not feel special. Interior is bland. Very bland. Save for the cool information system. My colt had a bland interior, but it’s forgivable because it was a cheap and cheerful car.
All in all, it just wasn’t for me. But it may be it for most people. My recommendation, always go for your dreams. It was a logical purchase but I didn’t fall in love with it. You might though.

Edu man. I don't know where to start. He is a smart guy. He is learned and comprehends issues so well! Anyway, we managed to find his relatives in Nairobi. I cannot disclose the location for his mental wellbeing. The sister was in tears when she saw him
He has a place to stay for now. He can clean up and have a change of clothes. That was our first priority. We are in talks with car yard owners and garage owners for jobs and opportunities. We're scheduling a few meetings
There a dentist by the name Kinyanjui who has offered to carry out a free dental procedure on him. (God bless you Kinyanjui). As you probably saw, he doesn't have his front teeth. He wants to get that sorted chap chap.
I have interacted with Edu for a few months now. He lives in the streets and we occasionally talk about cars He is extremely enthusiastic about performance cars. I'll thread a video of him just talking. See the last video in the thread for more info.
