Yes - sort of! We @SunampLtd were initially funded in 2013 by @DECCgovuk (fore-runner of @beisgovuk) under the Advanced Heat Storage SBRI. We proposed latent heat storage heat batteries powered by heat pumps on a time of use tariff - originally @ScottishPower E2000 / @SSE E10 1/

Those systems were mainly in Berwickshire Housing Association homes - all are still in use with some levels of updated system. The last fully original system was upgraded after 7 years service.

They proved to deliver big carbon and cost savings - see images and alt text 2/

Case D was my home:

A 5-bedroomed house previously heated by a gas boiler, on the gas grid

2 working occupants, 1 teenage child & 1 visiting young adult

Annual Savings on Heat & Hot Water (1st year)

Energy: 77%; 28,476 KWh
Bill saving: 50%; £926.77
CO2: 46%; 3645 KgCO2

Gas had been from @Ebicoltd on their no standing charge tariff at 5p/kWh

Electricity in 2013/14 to run the @Daikinuk heat pump + @SunampLtd heat battery was @SSE Economy 10 at around 14p on-peak and 7p off-peak - times:

04:30 to 07:30
13:00 to 16:00
20:30 to 00:30

I have been collecting data on and off over the years and try to publish when I have time.
