One curriculum tidbit if I may: to quote the grade 6 social studies draft: Controlled by the Democratic party? Really? Can't resist that pejorative poke? Of course there were several Fugitive Slave Acts (1793, 1850, and individual states passed their own as well). #AbLeg

I would want a historian to weigh in on exactly which Fugitive Slave Act is being referred to here. (I enjoy history but am strictly an amateur.)

The central question is why 10-11 year old Alberta kids need to know this USA bit? I can imagine the multiple choice test questions.

But I digress. I would like to direct your attention to a research paper written by Bill Morneau, a true financial genius. This is where, after consulting with all parties, he laid out a roadmap, to consolidate some sub $1 billion dollar ON pension plans. Take a look: #AbLeg

This was the one piece of research that Travis forwarded to me to support having ATRF subsumed by AIMCO. Oh, look it recommends that funds like ATRF should be able to opt out after three years. Travis never mentioned that. #AbLeg #handsoffmypension

This is like an episode of Keystone Cops. I don't think Travis reads the research he sends out.

Best practice across Canada dictates that plans should not be betrothed to any particular asset manager. That should include ATRF. #AbLeg #handsoffmypension
