NIA: NIA conducted searches yesterdat at 31 locations spread across 8 districts of Andhra Pradesh and four districts of Telangana in the case relating to furthering of activities of the proscribed organization, CPI(Maoist) in Andhra Pradesh in the guise of frontal organisations.
The searches took place in 8 districts of Andhra Pradesh, namely, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Prakasam, Srikakulam, Kurnool, Krishna, East Godavari & Kadapa; and four districts of Telangana, namely Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Medak
The case was re-registered by NIA on 07.03.2021 and pertains to seizure of revolutionary literature of CPI (Maoist), press notes, medicines, wire bundles and explosives substances seized from accused Pangi Naganna , intercepted by Andhra police during vehicle checking.
NIA: Investigation revealed Naganna had been ostensibly working as a journalist and was passing info about police movements to CPI(Maoist). He was instigating villagers to obstruct combing operations of police and revolt against police parties and hold rallies against govt.
Till now, six accused persons namely (i) Pangi Naganna, (ii) Anduluri Annapurna, (iii) Jangarla Koteswar Rao, (iv). Manukonda Srinivasa Rao, (v)Rela Rajeswari and (vi) Boppudi Anjamma have been arrested in the case.
Recoveries in searches include 40 mobile phones, 44 SIM Cards, 70 Storage devices like Hard Discs, Micro SD cards & Flash Cards, 184 CDs/DVDs, 19 Pen Drives, Tab, Audio Recorder, Rs 10 lakh in cash, sickles, axe, machetes CPI (Maoist) flags, and incriminating documents

Pakistani terrorist of Laskar-e Taiba sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonments in LeT Conspiracy Case. On March 26, NIA court convicted Bahadur Ali @ Saifullah Mansoor, a Pakistani terrorist and sentenced him to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment and fine.
Bahadur Ali along with aides Abu Saad and Abu Darda, all@trained terrorists of LeT, had illegally infiltrated into J&K with the intention to carry out terrorist attacks at different places in India including Delhi, as per instructions of their handlers in LeT, based in Pak/ POK
On 25.07.2016, Bahadur Ali was arrested at village Yahama Mukam, Handwara, Distt. Kupwara and large number of arms viz. AK-47 Rifle, UBGL, ammunition, hand Grenades, UBGL Shells, Military Map, Wireless Set, GPS, Compass, Indian Currency, FICN etc. were recovered from him.
NIA along with local police units today conducted simultaneous searches at 11 locations including 8 in Kannur, Mallapuram, Kollam & Kasargod districts of Kerala, 2 in Bengaluru and one in Delhi in case pertaining to terrorist activities of group led by Abu Yahya r/o Kerala.
This group had been running various ISIS propaganda channels on social media platforms such as Telegram, Hoop and Instagram for propagating violent Jihadi ideology of ISIS and radicalizing and recruiting new members to this ISIS module. NIA had registered the case on 05.03.2021.
The group of radicalized individuals under leadership of Mohammed Ameen @ Abu Yahya owning allegiance to ISIS had identified certain individuals in Kerala and Karnataka for targeted killing. They also planned Hijrat (religious migration) to J&K for engaging in terrorist acts.
EC action on Nandigram incident: 1. Removal of Vivek Sahay IPS, from post of Director Security. He shall be placed under suspension immediately. The charges must be framed against him within a week for grossly failing in discharge of his primary duty to protect the Z+ protectee.
2. Chief Secretary, in consultation with DGP, is authorised to post suitable Director Security immediately following the extant procedure. Posting order may be communicated to the Commission latest by 1300 hours on 15th March 2021.
