If you've never seen Christian nationalism personally, it can be hard to believe it's real.

This clip from Jenna Ellis's new web show is a great example of it.

She keeps labeling her religious opinions as "truth" & implying that govt should enforce them americasvoice.news/video/NgCdFYZm…
Ellis is more open about her theocratic agenda than most right wing elites but she is far from alone in having one.

Most are more savvy in hiding their true intentions and only discussing them privately.
Unfortunately, because of this concealment, most people who disagree with fundamentalist Christianity aren't aware that many top Republicans have "Christianist" views that are philosophically not different from Islamism.
Here is a partial list of people with Christianist views that aren't known for them:

-Mark Meadows
-Kayleigh McEnany
-Sarah Huckabee Sanders
-Kellyanne Conway
-Ted Cruz
-Glenn Beck
-Paul Gosar
-Jenna Ellis
-Marco Rubio
-Sarah Palin
If you're having trouble explaining far right Christian fundamentalism to friends or family, have them watch the video in the first tweet. It's a perfect illustration.

They literally think they are God's servants trying to create his kingdom on earth through politics.
If you are dealing w someone who has these views, please understand that you can't argue about it bc the views are pure emotion.

The best approach is to show that lots of Christians have their own "truths" and that this is just fine for them. Add in other groups gradually.
Christianism is a cult. It's a replacement of religion, particularly of Christianity which has a fundamental tenet that Christ's kingdom is NOT of this world.

Sadly, during the Cold War, it became much more popular bc of its propaganda value.
If you know of any books about this history, please post them here. This is a topic I'm going to write one about after finishing my memoirs (I'm 31K words into that one).

I might add in a few more names to this thread as well so please share any you think I've missed. Thanks!
Oh one other thing to note: Christianism is the best reason that Trump--a lecherous, greedy, deceiver--is so beloved.

Because he publicly has joined the crusade, his personal immorality is forgivable. Trump is a modern-day Constantine, an even worse person who is still revered.
More names for the list:

-Michele Bachmann
-James Lankford
-Mike Pompeo
-Josh Hawley
-William Barr
-James Inhofe
-Marsha Blackburn
-Ben Carson
-Jody Hice
-Mo Brooks
-Steve Scalise

Check out the production on this clip. It's just as WTF as the manic words Peter Navarro is spewing. He literally looks like some sort of cross between WWE and Infowars.

The exaggerated hand jestures, the wide-angle standup shot with stars.
Peter Navarro in his stand up studio doing one of several over-the-top double-finger pointing gestures just exactly like a WWE monologue. This dude was one of Trump's top presidential advisers. Wow.
Yes exactly. The only thing Peter Navarro is missing is Mean Gene standing next to him holding the microphone

So much for democracy: MO Republicans vote to throw out 53% referendum vote that expanded Medicaid eligibility.

One state rep. says she thinks it's ok because only suburban & urban Missourians approved it. “Rural Missouri said no,” Rep. Sara Walsh said. kansascity.com/news/politics-…
Republicans in Georgia and Alabama get all the headlines but Missouri Republicans are their own kind of terrible. They literally passed a bill in 2017 to *lower* the minimum wage snopes.com/fact-check/mis…
In addition to electing the openly Christian supremacist and insurrection-enabler Josh Hawley, they also have a guy running for Senate, Eric Greitens, who was accused of sexual violence and blackmailing a paramour and earlier had to resign for it.

Deplatforming works as a societal protection mechanism because extremists cannot disseminate their views effectively unless others build the platforms for them.

Their broken-brain understanding of reality also means that they can't build propaganda infrastructure.
You can't effectively change reality unless you actually understand it. But if competent and normal people make giant social networks and then let you use them for free and without consequence, you don't have to learn a thing. They've subsidized your insanity.

The entire concept and history of the word "RINOs" is about silencing dissent. Conservatives invented "cancel culture."

The whining about it today is only because it happens to them sometimes now. They think only others should be canceled.
Don't be surprised also if Trump's tantrum about "RINOs" and the GOP turns out to be nothing more than a ploy to force the RNC to pay him money to use his name.
The cash for Trump angle is very important here. He has millions of dollars in debt coming due but no banks want to loan him money to refinance it.

While Trump did con supporters into giving "election defense" millions, he can't legally use it since it was PAC donations.

After months of work, @DiscoverFlux is now live. Please check it out: flux.community

We're taking a different approach to news, one that's community-driven, non-profit, and designed to open the national conversation to people who have been ignored...
Everyone's always saying that we live in the "Information Age" which means information is our society's most valuable commodity. So why have we entrusted it primarily to companies whose sole motive is profit? We need more non-profit news operations.
At the same time, because of economies of scale, national media executives have overwhelmingly concentrated jobs in Manhattan and DC, leaving the vast majority of America utterly ignored.

Over the decades, this has engendered apathy, hatred, and harmed social knowledge.
