For those who can't read this because it's behind a paywall: the No. 1 thing GOP oligarchs are worried about is not voting reform, but the bill's requirement that giant dark-money donations be disclosed. Their top priority is funneling money into politics *in secret*.
To be clear (then I'll stop rambling): oligarchs argue that they should be able to dump millions of $ into politics in secret because, if their role is disclosed, they might face social disapprobation (which they call harassment). Just a *cosmic* sense of entitlement.
