1) TODAY IN STERLING HEIGHTS: @ACCESS1971 hosts the first of three Pfizer walk-in vaccine clinics at 4301 E 14 Mile Road.

9:30a-4p. All Michigan residents 16+ are welcome. Call 586-722-6036 for help.
2) TODAY IN DETROIT: @wayne_health at St. Stephen AME Church from 11a-5:30p, 6000 John E Hunter St.

Moderna. Drive-thru and walk-up. No residency requirement.

LET'S TALK ABOUT WALK-INS: Today, ACCESS doled out 800+ doses at their clinic in Sterling Heights.

BUT -- many had to wait a long time, were turned away, and decided it was a bad experience. So here are some suggested walk-in vaccine clinic experience and etiquette tips:
1) Don't line up at the door of a community vaccine clinic. It's very likely a smaller venue. The staff and volunteers need people to be orderly to have an effective flow of in and out. (ACCESS had 200 people at their door two hours before the clinic opened today)
2) Utilize the clinic hours and don't show up first thing if you don't have to. Try late morning, afternoon or evening, if possible.

If everyone shows up at the same exact time, swamping staff at the clinic, of course there's going to be a wait!

2) IN REDFORD TWP: @wayne_health mobile vaccine unit offering Moderna vaccines at El Bethel Baptist Church at 25295 Grand River Ave from 12p-7p.

No residency requirement. 300 spots. Anyone 60+, 18+ with comorbidities or disability.
CVS has added more appointments and locations, with spots available in Adrian, Taylor, Port Huron, Detroit, Fraser, Southfield and Coldwater (there's more). Be sure to search by ZIP -- don't rely on main page. cvs.com/immunizations/…
