The Republican Minority Whip @SteveScalise is the first to speak and call for an overturning of the results of multiple states to maintain Donald Trump as an unelected dictator.
Republican congressman @Jim_Jordan is the second to speak and call for overturning the results of the election to maintain Donald Trump as an unelected dictator.

For @BulwarkOnline I wrote a timeline of Trump's public comments downplaying the virus and comparing it to the flu. It is shocking to see it in this context. thebulwark.com/the-coronaviru…
A month later on 3/6 Trump said this: "The percentage for the flu is under 1 percent. But this could also be under 1 percent...And you’re smiling when I say that. Who are you from, by the way?...I don’t watch CNN. That’s why I don’t recognize you." whitehouse.gov/briefings-stat…
Two weeks after Trump's comments to Woodward the CDC lead Nancy Messonnier spoke out to warn the public about the disruption to their lives that would be required. The stock market tanked. Trump shouted at staffers and silenced Messonnier. thebulwark.com/the-ten-weeks-…

I wrote about the Virginia GOP’s anti-gay dumpster fire “election” which took place in a congressional district where I was a field staffer as a young fella. thebulwark.com/virginia-race-…
The Riggleman debacle is the latest example of willingness to be cruel to the other tribe being the true animating force of the Trump era GOP. thebulwark.com/virginia-race-…
