Last night, close enough to 24 hours ago, I decided to take a day off politics.

I now have some thoughts.

Boris Johnson is not fit to be around people, let alone to lead people. He’s a dangerous fool.

Piers Morgan is the sulkiest sulk boy in sulk land.

Scott Morrison, where to begin? As leader of the Liberal Party he has had nothing to say about an alleged rapist staffer being moved around like a rapist priest. This makes Morrison complicit with rape.

Morrison is telling us lies about vaccines. Our media lack the courage to replay his announcements and bragging about being front of the queue. The vaccine we can’t even get won’t even protect us. This is dereliction of duty, both Morrison and his tame media.

The police should be looking into Laming, anyone with his twisted social media habits has more to hide. He is a dangerous person.

Our media continues to fail us. Morrison should be buried by his failure to address the demands of women and his failure to manage our vaccine program. Our media has more to say about Turnbull than Morrison. Our media is failing us.

Josh Frydenberg is still standing by Laming. Our next PM is already a failure.

McCormack is rorting like a bastard, Morrison protects him by concealing the identities of ministers making decisions on our behalf. Again, our media lets him off, not even a whimper.

And while this goes on our government is lying about social media, lying about the NDIS report, lying about rorts, lying about everything, and going largely unchallenged by media or the ALP.

And the icing on this shit cake of a day in politics is our ABC inviting religious extremists onto Q and A. The ACL represents nearly zero Australians, yet it is being treated as a valid political voice. Our ABC has been Buttrosed.

And Albanese can’t lay a glove on the government.

We need to call a general strike. We need to demand better from leaders and media. This current debacle can’t continue.

And finally, Brazil, those poor bastards elected a fascist, now the obvious consequences are becoming obvious. As the uncontrolled virus mutates there the entire world will pay a price for Brazilians deciding fascism was good.

Oh, and one last thing, we’re at a point where we all applaud when a journalist does their job, because it happens so rarely.
