This just in: The @nytimes wins its case vs the Trump campaign, which had sued over a column by Max Frankel, former exec editor of the Times.
No actual malice, among other reasons.
"News organizations function as a platform for facilitating constitutionally protected speech on issues of public concern and courts will not impose defamation liability against these entities absent a clear showing of actual malice."

There are many ways of handling layoffs, and Jonah Peretti and Buzzfeed have figured out how to do it in the worst way possible.
From less than 4 months ago:

The South Dakota attorney general, under investigation for a fatal road accident, said he thought he hit a deer that night.
