If Apple products could talk, they'd whisper 'buy me'

This is a company that has not only gotten it right as a brand, they've got it perfect!

How did they do it? Let's take a look at some of their ads over the years.

A thread.
1984 isn't really like 1984

In 84, Apple released this advert during the Superbowl.

The ad takes place in a futuristic setting, with a group of expressionless bald men marching into a large hall.

The colour is dull with mostly greys and blues and a voice addressing the group.
Suddenly, a blonde brightly dressed athlete runs into the room chased by guards.

She swings a sledgehammer at the screen where the Big-Brother figure is addressing the room,

It explodes leaving the group of zombie-like men in shock.

A message on the screen then reads
"On January 24th, Apple Computer will introduce Macintosh. And you’ll see why 1984 won’t be like '1984"

Is the group shocked at the idea that there could be something other than PC?

Interpret however you want.
In 2013, Apple released an ad for the iPad air.

It sees an image of a pencil on a table with changing surroundings;

A library, a music room, an office, a fashion designer’s room, a laboratory, a classroom, a home.
A voice narrates "It’s an extremely simple tool, but also, very powerful.

It could be used to start a poem, or finish a symphony, been on expeditions, even been to space.."

Viewers assume the narrator is describing the pencil, until the iPad Air is pulled out from behind it.
In 2004, they used dancing silhouettes for their iPod campaign.

The ad doesn’t show how to use the product or what features it has

It focuses on the fun attitude and demeanour of the person using it.

What unites all of the anonymous silhouettes are the white headphones.
Apple choose not to mention any features of their new product,

Yet they convince their audience that this is the ultimate tool for creativity.

They sell their product by assigning feelings to the idea of owning it.

Six productivity hacks Elon Musk sent to his staff.

In a leaked memo, Elon Musk sent every employee in Tesla his six rules for productivity

A thread...
1. Leave a meeting if you are not contributing

Walk out of a meeting or hang up the phone the moment you realise you are not contributing.

If you are not adding value — get the hell out of there.

It is not rude to leave, it is rude to waste other people’s time.
2. Avoid large meetings.

The smaller the meeting, the more productive it will be.

Don't just go to a meet to nod or fill empty seats.

Anyone who doesn’t need to be there is wasting their time and will ultimately waste everyone else’s time

The best way to become an outstanding marketer is to understand your customer

7 Great rules of marketing by Eugene Schwartz.

A thread...
1. Be the best listener you have ever met.

Just listen to what the market is saying.

Schwartz used to get into a taxi and start interroagting the cab driver, because that's a great way to tap into what the market is saying
When you do that, you are able to

1. Write copy that directing targets their minds
2. Market your products more effectively because you know.

I'm not rich, but I have a couple thousand in cash and assets.

Started making money online in 2018.

In Feb, I quit the cooperate world.

So, what are some habits that separate the rich from the poor?

A thread...
1. Discipline - Financially and emotionally.

Because you had a bad day at work doesn’t mean you need to spend £200 on clothes to cheer yourself up.

Rich people tend to save with more precision and meet their goals on a much more consistently.

Poor people have no discipline.
2. Goal setting - Rich people figure out what they want.

They make plan to get what they want and then they go to work to achieve it.

They break it down into long term and short term goals.

For some reason, poor people either don’t set goals at all or they set and forget it.

If you could spend $1 and get $2 back, how many $ would you spend? Everything you could get your hands on right?

That's one of the best things about Solo ads.

For every dollar you spend, you can predict how much you will get in return.

A short thread
Let's imagine this.

You spend $97 to buy 200 clicks.

You know the approximate amount of visitors to expect to click your link

You also know that each one of those visitors cost you $0.49.
Now, imagine (90) visitors subscribe to your email list.

Then every new subscriber has cost you $1.1

Imagine if just 4 people purchased your product and you get a commission of $25 per sale.

You'd have made $100 after spending $97.
