7 Pillars of Self Development

// THREAD //
Personal development is a lifelong process.

It is a way for people to assess their skills and qualities, consider their aims in life and set goals in order to realise and maximise their potential.

So here are the 7 Pillars of Self Development 👇
1) Get up early.

Getting up early is one of the most important part of building and compounding success habits in your life.

It gives you time:

- for planning out your day.
- to exercise and meditate.
- for enjoying the nature.
- for spending time with your family.
2) Drink more water.

As soon as you wake up drink atleast a glass of water and drink 8-10 glasses of water throughout the day.

Drinking more water helps in:

- increasing your energy.
- maximizing physical performance.
- increasing your focus.
- cleaning your body from inside.
3) Meditation.

Meditation is the most underrated thing but nowadays it's taking a huge boom.

Meditation helps in:

- gaining a new perspective on stressful situations.
- increasing imagination, focus and creativity.
- focusing on the present.
- reducing negative emotions.
4) Daily movement.

The old saying "use it or lose it" is very true.

Lack of movement will result in your muscles reducing in shape, size and functioning.

Daily movement:

- boost your mood.
- improve your sleep.
- sharpen your focus.
- reduce stress.
5) Learning and Reading.

"The more that you read, the more you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." – Dr. Seuss

Learn by:

- listening to podcasts.
- reading books.
- doing different things.
- spending time with quality people.
6) Daily journaling.

Journaling generally involves the practice of writing your experiences and thoughts of your life daily.

Journaling:

- reduces stress and anxiety.
- helps in learning from your experiences.
- improves your communication skills.
- improves your memory.
7) Get to bed early.

When is the last time you did anything innovative and productive after about 10 pm.

You might be able to pull up just a few things, but most of the time you're busy in watching TV or binging Netflix.

So instead of wasting the time use it for resting.
Getting to bed early:

- boosts your energy.
- reduce the risk of lot of diseases.
- relieve stress and anxiety.
- makes you confident and happy.
- helps you in sharpening your memory.

// THREAD //
1) Do not react, respond.

Much of our lives are spent in reaction to others words.

We react without giving it a second thought.

This mess up the whole situation and most of the times ruins the relationship.

So it's important to Be Mindful.
Pause and think before reacting.
2) Happiness is internal not external.

The person who can't seek happiness from the things he/she have, can't seek it even after getting everything.

So it's important to practice gratitude.

Be grateful for the things you have, be happy and keep faith for more better things.
