I guess he only went with “Hillbilly Elegy” because the book title “My Struggle” was already taken.
It’s rich to assert that anybody is trying to “destroy” Tucker Carlson. If people want to hold his advertisers and paymasters at Fox accountable, though, the reason why is this.
Right. To have a scion of a TV-dinner family — and a Yale Law-educated venture capitalist like J.D. Vance — lecturing society about the “elite” is just absolutely precious.
Anyhow, I look forward to seeing the issue platform of Vance’s inevitable Senate campaign — and finding out whether it runs any longer than 14 words.

Genuinely wondering how much of the Michigan surge is bleedover from Ontario, where cases are also spiraling – or vice versa.

The border remains closed to nonessential travel, of course. But plenty of commerce continues.
This map — showing that Michigan’s highest intensity of cases is in its thumb, and its southeast — makes me wonder even more if the Ontario and Mich. surges are facets of the same phenomenon.

Hunch: the border narrative has grown legs because of a reflex, among news pros, to expect the parties to maintain a thermodynamic balance.

Trump’s crisis was COVID; now, with vaccines, that crisis is waning. A crisis for Dems is simply a matter of ti– … hm, what’s this on Fox?

Just putting out there, in preemption, that “he’s a probable incel, not a probable white supremacist, shut up woke-ist!” is not the argument winner that a few people might think.
