PNP on penalties for quarantine violators: May controversial issues that have been discussed even before. We are requiring our police officers to be very careful with these kinds of doing on their own without the knowledge of their chief of police
PNP: We are not tolerating this...

Philippine Hotel Owners Association President Arthur Lopez on the proposal to turn hotels into temporary quarantine facilities: We have 70 owners that own 300 hotels. All the hotels in NCR are fully booked (1/2)
Philippine Hotel Owners Association: OWWA has taken over these hotels for OFWs.
Philippine Hotel Owners Association: We cannot mix quarantine guests sa mga regular guests dahil baka mahawa. Very limited ang available rooms ngayon.

Lopez adds: Since the pandemic, revenues ng mga hotel bumagsak 80-90%
Philippine Hotel Owners Association: From OWWA, may budget sila. Hotels are charging them minimum rates.
Philippine Hotel Owners Association on converting hotels into temporary COVID-19 hospitals: Nangyayari na ngayon 'yan, yung ibang mga hotels namin ay classified as Oplan Kalinga.
Philippine Hotel Owners Association: To convert hotels as hospitals, that's going to be difficult. Maraming kailangan ang hospitals to support patients.
Philippine Hotel Owners Association: Kung ibababa sa MECQ classification, baka pwedeng buksan ang meetings, conventions, with very strict health protocols. Okay sa amin 'yan
Philippine Hotel Owners Association: We're asking for their support and understanding dahil maraming may gustong gamitin ang hotels namin, pero wala na kaming mabibigay na kwarto
Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire: Tinitingnan natin 'yung trend, the number of deaths is increasing. Itong 401, 7 ang namatay from January; 11% or 45 happened in February; 72% or 287 happened in March; 49 or 12% happened in April. Continuous ang pag-validate ng deaths
Health Usec. Vergeire: Ang sources of information are from LGUs, hospitals, kaya 'yung iba nakuha natin sa ibang buwan bit.ly/2OzwtR2
Health Usec.
Health Usec. Vergeire: We are expanding our capacity to accommodate patients. Ngayong hapon, bubuksan ang 900 additional beds ng National Center for Mental Health for mild and moderate COVID-19 cases
Health Usec. Vergeire on the decision to temporarily stop giving AstraZeneca: Pagaaralan ng mga eksperto ang mga adverse events, hinihintay din ang suggestion from the @WHO
Health Usec. Vergeire on the decision to temporarily stop giving AstraZeneca: Ito ay precautionary measure lamang that may last for two weeks.
Health Usec. Vergeire: Kailangang alalahanin na ang full effect ng bakuna ay 3-4 weeks after you get your second dose
Health Usec.
Nagdedeploy po tayo nang karagdagan, we were able to deploy over 100 last week.
Health Usec. Vergeire: Ang nangyayari, aside from health workers being infected, 'yung mga tao from non-COVID units of the hospitals are being used for COVID wards
