.@basecamp has an amazing landing page hero.

Most critically they don't just define the buyer's problem. They use emotional language to AGITATE the visitor and increase the desire to solve it.

Plus a few other nice ideas I've annotated. Image
.@Sleeknotecom use humour and a human touch on their landing page, and address the visitor's biggest objection in their subheading.

If you want me to review a SaaS landing page, mention them below ⬇️⬇️ Image
.@charlierward's @weekendclubHQ landing page demonstrates how one great screen grab can SHOW not TELL the user what your startup does.

Also of note: benefits language, a simple sign up form, and signposting of what to expect on submitting. Image
@charlierward @weekendclubHQ Us Vs Them

@typeform tell you how it is. Other form tools are boring. Theirs will make you and your visitors happy.

Their form builder is also really simple - which they don't need to tell you, as their landing page animation *shows* you. Image
I LOVE the @buymeacoffee landing page Hero.

They break a lot of established landing page conversion techniques, but confident copywriting and great positioning mean it's an unforgettable page.

Check it out. Image
Make bold claims, if you can back them up

@Wise claim to be cheap and fast. I'd normally advise you to steer away from these types of claims, but Wise can back them up.

With stats, a calculator and over 10,000,000 customers. Image
@Wise Accreditations are important to generate trust with your visitor. If you are accredited by respected organisations include that in your landing page, like @sogoodlord.

Unusually they have 3 CTAs but the purpose is clear. Qualify the visitor and direct them to relevant info. Image
Get a free, weekly email for founders and marketers.

Featuring a video roast of a leading SaaS, ecommerce or productised service landing page.

.@ManyRequests teardown.

Here's some of the changes I'd test to drive an increase in visitor conversion.

Evoke the pain, add social proof, illustrate the problem / solution. Image
Social proof helps increase your visitors' desire to convert. @livestormapp have customer logos, reviews and quantified customer numbers all on their landing page. Image
LOVE THIS from @popdotwork.

Expense framed against the risk of doing nothing.

Here's what else I loved on their landing page pricing section. Image
Can you communicate your product's before and after, like Kitchen app? Illustration is a great way to do so. Image

I sold my side project for $10,000! ✨🎉

Yep First 100 Users is officially sold

In less than 24 hours, and on X

Some more notes in the follow-up tweets ⬇️

#buildinpublicImage
First 100 Users was an early lead magnet for me

It grew in scope and eventually won Product of the Day on @ProductHunt

It went from a basic @NotionHQ table → @softr_io + @airtable website with over 100 marketing ideas + 100s of tools listed
@ProductHunt @NotionHQ @softr_io @airtable I've been focused on growing my bootstrapped SaaS @SenjaHQ with @euboid, so F100 has been neglected

So I decided to sell it

Here’s the sales tweet

Remove the generic illustration from your landing page

They don't support your copy or help your visitor

Increase clarity and conversions with one of these instead

1/ The annotated visualImage
I love this style as it exposes your product to the visitor

But reduces overwhelm by using annotations to point out the important stuff

Identify the feature and share why it matters Image
2/ The walkthrough

A slideshow of your product that uses hotspots to highlight the important stuff

The one we use on @SenjaHQ is powered by @SupademoHQ

A great example of 'show' not 'tell' Image

Your thanks for subscribing / downloading page probably sucks

If it just says "thank you", you can do better.

Here's some more valuable things to try instead

#buildinpublic

1/ The check your inbox thank you page
Image
Remind your new lead to check their inbox and complete the sign up process

Supported with an 'incomplete' step-by-step visual
2/ The qualification + segment thank you page

Powered by @rightmessageapp + @Bento (for me)

Ask your new lead questions to help you segment them

Send different segments different offers to drive more sales Image

Out bootstrapped SaaS just hit $13,000 MRR

Affiliates have been an incredible marketing channel for us

Here's what you need to know #buildinpublic
1. You can find new affiliates by looking at the affiliate pages of your competitors
2. Create a nurture sequence for new affiliates:

- Welcome - here's your sharing link
- Best examples of effective sharing
- Check in - how are you getting on?

I’ve roasted 850 landing pages in 2.5 years

Here are the 15 most common mistakes and how to fix them 👇🏾 twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Mistake 1: No pain

Explanation: The visitor does have the problem you solve. But doesn’t feel the pain acutely and leaves

Fix it: Use the pain-agitate-solution framework to evoke the pain and drive conversion

Example: https://t.co/KmnXKgydkcmakerbox.club
4 more examples of pain-agitate-solution on landing pages:

@basecamp

Lead magnets are an INCREDIBLE way to collect visitor email addresses and turn them into customers ❤️

But most marketers and founders are missing the basics 🤯

Here's how to use lead magnets to generate more sales 💰⬇️⬇️
1️⃣ You need to promote it

You can't just create a lead magnet and expect people to download it.

Promote it on or in:

⭐️ Your social channels
⭐️ Communities
⭐️ Your email footer
⭐️ Website pop-up
⭐️ Your chatbot
⭐️ Email list
⭐️ Partner socials
2️⃣ You need a high-converting landing page

⭐️ Your lead magnet needs its OWN landing page
⭐️ The page should be focused on visitor pains
⭐️ You should include a visual of your lead magnet
⭐️ You need fewer fields [most of the time]
⭐️ You need to only ask for info you don't have
