Sushen Mohan Gupta was a very influential middleman during the UPA era. In 2019, he was arrested in the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper deal case, another defence deal scam worth crores in during the UPA govt.

Gupta was being paid directly by Thales, a French multinational company that designs and builds electrical systems, through shell companies. According to another account’s spreadsheet belonging to Gupta, which only covers the years between 2004 to 2008, Thales paid €2.4...

...to another shell co. Later, when they came under the radar, 1000s of crores were paid to Gupta thru inflated bills for software consulting between 2008 to 2013.
AugustaWestland deal, Gupta had made millions of Euros & simultaneously he was making money in the Rafale deal, too.

It was reported the choppers were bought despite opposition by the IAF after Mr Tyagi became the IAF Chief.
Every time the Congress govt tries to highlight corruption by other parties (real or fabricated), its past sins come out & the party suffers more loss than gain.
