1)
Every nation, with the exception of a very few, today has a Constitution, usually a set of rules that defines the nation and establishes its legal structure, and some of them also list the rights the Constitution grants to the nation's citizens.
2)
But the US Constitution is a bit different and what makes it different is the 10 Amendments generally referred to as the "Bill of Rights"
Because this "Bill of Rights" is not a list of rights granted by the powers that be that composed the constitution.
3)
The Bill of Rights is designed to be, according to its authors, a set of "individual rights that no government can abridge".
4)
In short, rights that are the property of each individual American citizen, not rights granted by the state, not rights that some government can take away.
5)
They are rights against the power of government, against the use of the power of government that any class or political philosophy or special interest can take away.
6)
And, the Constitution also establishes a Supreme Court and Court System. And this Court has a unique job. It is not to act as an arm of a party or even of the Government. It's purpose is to defend the Constitution, the procedures and the rights therein. Period.
7)
So, for example, in Nazi Germany and Communist Soviet Union, the Courts and the Lawyers acted as arms of the state, representing the state and its interests as defined by the regime first. Human rights were disposable.
8)
Some would like to see that happen in the USA, that judges on the Highest Courts make decisions based on political philosophy, on popular mood and fashion,
9)
While others rightly believe that an American Supreme Court should have judges that measure every issue by whether it furthers or limits the rights of the individual to live at peace and liberty.

It might seem strange that I worded the title of this comment as I did.
1)
For Israelis, this year, remembering will be difficult because of the continuing Covid-19 panic. Same with many in the Diaspora. It will not be a time of parades and parties.
2)
For most it will be just another day, sitting at home, watching something on NETFLIX or some other streaming service, or maybe, if you’re old like me, reading a book (yes a real book with pages to turn).

NO ONE SHOULD GET PAID FOR NOT WORKING
TAXPAYERS SHOULD GET A REFUND FOR GOVERNMENT FUNDS NOT SPENT ON PAYROLL.
1)
The simple fact is that employees in the private sector, small business owners, etc.
Have been forced to make sacrifices in income because of Government ordered lockdowns. Mortgages and rents have gone unpaid, Austerity is the name of the game for millions
2)
While Government employees staying at home have received their paychecks at the expense, in many cases, of taxpayers who have been told to make sacrifices.,

1)
SORRY BY I BELIEVE THAT THE ONLY MEASURE OF WHETHER A CONVERT SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED AS JEWISH IS THE TIME HONORED MEASURE OF ACCEPTED HALACHIC PRACTICE AND WHETHER THAT INDIVIDUAL CONVERT LIVES AS A JEW, CONSIDERS HIMSELF OR HERSELF TO BE JEWISH,...

AND HAS SEVERED ALL CONNECTIONS TO ANY FORMER INCOMPATIBLE FAITH SYSTEM.
IT SHOULD NOT BE A POLITICAL ISSUE, AN ISSUE OF SECTARIAN CUSTOMS AND TASTES OR ANY OTHER ARBITRARY MEASURE OTHER THAN THOSE STANDARDS NORMATIVE HALACHA PRESCRIBES.

Police Statistics show that of all the hate crimes in the USA today, the group most affected by them are American Jews.
1)
And one needs to understand that the number of crimes reported are a fraction of incidents that happen, especially in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
So at the very least, the US needs to eliminate antisemitism from Congress.
2)
There are quite a few members of the House of Representatives who have openly been antisemitic or who have supported antisemites or who have sought endorsements from antisemites such as Louis Farrakhan.

"FINANCIAL CARPETBAGGING"
1)
MEANING THE WEALTHY INDIVIDUALS AND CORPORATIONS IN ONE PART OF THE USA, USING THEIR FINANCIAL RESOURCES TO INFLUENCE AN ELECTION CAMPAIGN IN ANOTHER REGION OR STATE.
It should be banned. Such contributions undermine democracy & devalue the value of local and state politics.
2)
Any contribution, for example, from some rich guy in New York, to influence an election in Florida, just for example, should be considered an illegal contribution - subject to state confiscation and further financial penalties.
