Chiling Lee was walking home in the Bayview late Saturday night from his USPS job when he was stabbed 5 times. In the head, chest, stomach & hand.

His wife Dong said if the knife was bigger he would be dead.

This comes as 61 + 71 year old Asian women were robbed (one at gunpoint) on Sunday.

I spoke to a woman named Clarisse today who was walking home from church w/a friend Sunday afternoon when she was attacked at Polk & Bush Streets

3 ppl approached from behind and one grabbed her handbag. Clarisse didn’t let go. 1 suspect punched her in the face 3 times.

She struggles & hangs on to the getaway car as it’s driving away. She eventually fell into the street where bystanders help

Clarisse isn’t in much pain & her family didn’t want her to speak out. But she wanted to share her story to raise awareness of what happens in San Francisco.

His home in the Portola district was ransacked Friday with his 11-year old cousin inside as she was distance learning.

The two suspects grabbed her & made her stay in the bathroom & told her to stay quiet while they stole foreign currency & cameras. (2/4)

That very day Mr. K also had his car broken into while visiting loved ones’ gravesites at a cemetery in Colma.

Oakland gas station owner Cwell says this man made racially-charged statements after Cwell didn’t allow him to pay for his gas in quarters b/c they couldn’t all fit in the register. (1/4)

When Cwell noticed the man getting something in his pocket he grabbed some cleaning spray to protect himself.

But it was too late. Surveillance video shows the man spraying Cwell w/what looks like pepper spray. Cwell had to go to the ER.

⚠️ 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚: 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗧 𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗚𝗘 ⚠️ Uber driver Subhakar told me he picked up 3 women in the Bayview yesterday & after asking one to wear a mask was subject to slurs, taunting & one grabbing his phone.

He’s taking a few days off.

SFPD is investigating.

UPDATE: An Uber spokesperson sent me this statement— “The behavior seen in the video is appalling. The rider no longer has access to Uber.”

UPDATE: Subhakar shared these images with me detailing how Uber offered him $20 to clean his car after one of the riders, according to SFPD sprayed what is believed to be pepper spray in his car.

Uber then offered him $40. In the end he was given $120 for his ordeal.

𝗔𝗡𝗞𝗟𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗢𝗥 𝗥𝗔𝗣𝗘:
“Valeria” thought she was going to be raped after she was attacked & dragged into a homeless encampment.
⠀
She escaped & her alleged assailant arrested.
⠀
2+ months later the same man was arrested for raping a woman in a parking garage. (1/3)

Suspect Allen Stewart was wearing an ankle monitor during the rape.

Valeria came to the US f/Mexico 17 years ago & told me “I thought the US was safe. I want that for my daughter. I want my daughter as a woman to be successful &...to dream w/o being assaulted.” (2/3)

Valeria told me:

“I want genuine help for myself and for the other people that he assaulted. I want him to stay in jail.”

My email to the DA’s office & to Chesa Boudin on Thursday (originally was to air Friday) asking why Stewart was out w/ ankle monitor was not answered.
