Rahul is repeatedly emphasising on various platforms the need for discussions, interactions, negotiations. This is almost totally neglected, absent.
It gives primacy to the merit of the issues, not individuals. This is the need of the hour and a democratic right of the people.

Most of the misunderstanding, disputes, issues are due to the absence of continuous dynamic discussions with a focus to eliminate points of irrelevance and consolidate views, evolve solutions with consensus or majority opinion. We are not enlightening people but burning homes.

Rahul has turned the pages of Congress history, reverted to its principles and Gandhi’s call to look inwards.
It is very sane and wise to adopt this approach by all, irrespective of the party, groups they belong.
But those who thrive on confusions, divisions will reject them.

The problems with discussions even when they take place is that people participating do not start with an open mind that their view may be wrong.
They have a closed mind or keep it half open just to search and fish out what is wrong with the opinion of others.

Rahul advocated an open mind even within Congress party saying discussions is the right course. He openly referred to 20 odd people having differing views.
Why these Congress leaders do not come forward to sort them out instead of resorting to public warfare before the media.

It is not that Rahul is going to succumb to these blackmails.
Many comments are made saying Rahul is a part-time or non-serious politician. Sharad Pawar also refers to it many times and also to the Congress ‘internal warfare’.
These are more than subtle ways to downsize Rahul.

They are feeding media hurting Rahul’s image; what they see as his weaknesses & praising Modi. What a fall.
This so-called part-time politician & Priyanka are doing all the legwork in Kerala, Assam, Tamilnadu. Serious politicians are taking a rest waiting for Rahul’s failure.

It is not that these serious politicians will make any serious impact in these states. They are no different from ‘Yogis and Bhogis’, ‘Naddas and Chaddis’.
They won't make even a wrinkle in contrast to the wave generated by Rahul, Priyanka. Still, they have guts to challenge.

Rahul & Priyanka love people; get an electrifying response from them. They are natural leaders unlike ‘wheeler-dealers’ or Chanakya’s. It is not a kingdom. It is democracy.
Chanakyas want to make it a kingdom; want all Chanakya Neeti & treasury nidhis to perpetuate their rule.

It is no more a question of relevance. It is not even a question of Rahul’s assertion for his rightful position. It is inevitable. It has to happen.
Some still underestimate Rahul; wish to believe it so, as long as possible. Others in opposition will ignore him at their cost.

Rahul has not yet opened out fully; not talked to cadres, leaders, people more openly; more avenues, modern techniques are available for use.

People are going to throng him once he enters the arena in full form. Any change has to await its time for assimilation & acceptance.

We cannot yet say the countdown of Modi’s fascist regime has begun. It has not acquired the necessary pace, force, momentum to set the time schedule.

Some signals are available about Modi losing grip over his power and its misuse. That is the beginning of the end of fascism.

Much hope for the opposition parties was not due to their own efforts but due to failures, arrogance, the overconfidence of Modi regime, the usual traits of a fascist.

The first turning point that emerged over the last 7 years was the peaceful democratic protest against CAA.

But Covid gave some breathing space to Modi regime and the movement lost its momentum.
The hopes again revived and kept alive by farmers’ protests when the election schedule and the recent 2nd wave of Covid stole some of its limelight.
But the ruthlessness of rulers continued.

Sonia respects past practices, negotiations to cautiously steer Congress party.
These negotiations & discussions were between senior trusted leaders as she was relying more on them for expertise, information, execution.
The decisions naturally protected leaders, not the party.

It is advantageous to keep traditional practices. But they are to be analysed periodically or even concurrently both for successes & failures.
There is always a constant deterioration. Even for maintaining status quo, there is need for improvement, changes.
That includes INC.

But continuing with past practices without appropriate evaluations will work against revival and restructuring.

It may hurt some when pragmatic, analytical decisions are evolved and implemented. So such problematic issues are avoided and the deterioration continues.

What was the position of Rahul in 2019? Has he gained in strength, stature, acceptability and credibility?
He speaks out his mind more frequently of late in measured steps. His vision, perception, path, target are very clear. He is tightening his grip over Congress and masses.

The signals are subtle as Rahul is not rushing through the process.

We are to understand the situation as it existed in Congress before 2019. Then connect the various signals to perceive the hidden logics and their connectivity to visualise developments in right perspective.

Bringing transformations in Congress structure, practices are not so easy. There can be diverse views in a democratic party.

But their uniformity in lure for power, positions than for Congress principles, culture & the political direction required, hurt its survival, revival.

Some impressions:

The simplicity, the ease with which he walks down and mingles with young students, make them feel so comfortable.
He readily accepts a request for teaching Aikido.

He demonstrates a technique that is useful to them.
He picks up the shoes of a girl to keep them aside saying I do touch shoes no problem(1.20).
His spirit and intent are down to earth.
He listens, interacts, discusses, observes and clarifies even the minutest points.

It indicates the extent to which he is clear about principles, concepts.
He extrapolates Aikido for using inner strength; true empowerment of women.
He even relates it to Congress(3.27), how it gains strength from opposing forces.
Rahul knows it better about himself, Congress.

When the preamble of the constitution of India starts with “We The People Of India” we feel glorified, superhuman. When fascists elected by us are beating us to a pulp and leaving us pulseless, we feel helpless with all the negativity, passivity flooding our thoughts and mind.

We are perplexed. We are unable to correct our thought process. We presume that our views, ideas, opinion are largely right; question why others are unreasonable, illogical.

We do not get all facts on hand to come to firm conclusions. We should search for ideas, information.

Everyone functions within their limitations. No one achieves anything on their own including the scientists, experts. The contributions and efforts of many others are also involved behind such achievements. But we are not so professional in our personal, political decisions.

Most of us are conscious of our right not so much about the rights of others or the truth or justifications behind them.
Our opinions, views are ‘sticky’ and do not get out of our mind even if illogical.

We have a closed mind, not dispassionate while we refuse to admit them.

The opinions, views, conclusions that float around about every issue, every angle, its origin, its solutions widely vary. The versions and conclusions are innumerable in quality and content.

But what is true and right do not vary except over time due to improvements, changes.

Why should there be so much variation and varieties in deviating so much away or around the truth?
It is due to imperfect thought processes, failed leadership, lack of confidence in them.
We are not robots to come with identical, unitary conclusions but can evolve a consensus.
