A teacher at a Manhattan private school who questioned whether "individualism" and a "right to comfort" were "characteristics of white supremacy" was accused by the head of school of causing "neurological disturbance in students' beings and systems." nypost.com/2021/04/13/nyc…
This really should not be a hard call.
It's extremely tedious to keep having to say "the insane thing is insane."
Big mistake to create a salaried constituency whose job consists entirely of repeating this copypasta
Sales pitch for new private school: "We won't teach your kids odious bullshit."

I think a lot of polarized online politics are presaged by punk/hardcore/post-punk youth subcultures of the 1980’s and 1990’s
Straightedge, skinhead, riot grrl etc
This essay by Aaron Lake Smith discusses the origins of call out culture in the anarchist/punk subculture and seeing it go mainstream oldwaysways.com/tryhard-lateco…

Remind me who was running the WH when Reagan was incapacitated by dementia in his second term?
Now would be a great time to film an amusing picaresque about Reagan’s second term....
The guy was out to lunch and defeated global communism. Does America continue to benefit from the special providence that god reserves for fools, dunks and the United States of America?

68 percent of the US citizens or permanent residents admitted by Princeton for the class of 2025 “self-identified” as “people of color.”

People who understand the social construction of race are engineering a new elite ethnogenesis: assortative mating at Ivies will create racially mixed elite overclass as remaining legacy and athlete whites mate with "POC" majority
This is "dismantling whiteness" in practice. Soon, K-12 schools will teach majority POC classes that the new locus of American national unity is the POC nation overcoming the remaining influence of Trumpian whiteness

Good post on a medical student named Kieran Bhattacharya who raised some concerns after a micro aggressions seminar and was “subjected to formal censure, repeated psychological evaluations, suspension, and eventual expulsion.”

As I used to say, “cancel culture” was just a means and an expression of a not yet fully unconsummated will to power; now that they have the power to subject someone to psychological evaluation and expulsion for questioning their dogmas, we have moved on to the successor regime
Would be interested in @davidafrench’s thoughts on the post and the lawsuit linked within it

We need actors to do word for word dramatic re-enactments of SF school board meetings
So the board audited its own restorative practices and found that they were polluted by white supremacy culture
It's funny, etc. But it's also the governing body for a major American city's public school system, educating 57,000 students. This is the Successor Regime in power.

In 2018, Kendrick Lamar threatened to pull his music off Spotify if they implemented a "Hate Content and Hateful Conduct" policy that would removed R. Kelly and others.

That put a stop to the move toward censorship for a few years.
If this becomes routine, real question about what remains. Just think of the Stones oeuvre. Brown Sugar? Midnight Rambler? Stray Cat Blues?

YouTube announced they would not be removing Meet the Flockers a little more than a week ago. Curious to see reporting from the inside on how and why they reversed course so quickly.
