By blocking California's restrictions on private prayer groups, the Supreme Court reaffirms that COVID-19 regulations must comply with the First Amendment. reason.com/2021/04/14/pro… via @reason
When Christians met in each other's homes for prayer or Bible study, they had to be careful. Such gatherings were illegal, and the organizers never knew who might inform the authorities.
Although that sounds like a scene from the Soviet Union, it actually describes the situation in California under COVID-19 regulations that the Supreme Court blocked last Friday.
By issuing an injunction against Gov. @GavinNewsom's restrictions, the Court reaffirmed that politicians must comply with the Constitution when they decide how to deal with an epidemic.

“In our exciting leftist future, we know that speech, like gender, infrastructure, and bipartisanship, have to be redefined to mean whatever the government has decided that it should mean.
The truth can only emerge from the government and its political media partners.
And if you doubt that, you probably believe that infrastructure means roads, that women exist, that free speech means the freedom to speak, rather than being told what you can say.
“While few will agree on what is a conspiracy theory, the most obvious symptom of a conspiracy theory is that it cannot be disproven.

Tagging is a regular occurrence, creating a turf war with another gang.
The initial homeless people—some of whom may have been “taxed” by the gang—have left the encampment and moved around the corner to safer spots on Hollywood Boulevard.

This is what I found in my recent report for the Manhattan Institute, The Social Construction of Racism in the United States. The report is an analysis of a wide variety of data sources, including several new surveys that I conducted.
If you didn’t know better, you would think that we are experiencing an epidemic of police violence against black men. And, strangely, Minnesota seems to be epicenter of the phenomenon.
The Star Tribune keeps a running toll of deaths resulting from police encounters in Minnesota. For the period 2000 to 2021, the total is 207, of whom 54% were white and 27% were black.

“In the United States, the Democrats have become almost indistinguishable from the big Wall Street firms and tech oligarchies, mainstream media, and other wealthy elites.
Democrats once ruled mining and manufacturing towns; today, they represent 41 of the 50 wealthiest Congressional districts.
