I had to slow down the video and rewatch it several times although with the Adam Toledo shooting I think I have a decent sequence of events. If you notice anything different let me know (THREAD)
This 13-year-old kid got brought along for some crime involving a gun by an older man. The department's ShotSpotter got an alert of gunshots at 3am on the West Side of the city. Police got to the scene and saw Toledo with a 21-year-old man. After they arrived both of them (1/4)
fled and Toledo had a gun on him. After a chance down the ally, Toledo got to an opening in a fence where he proceeded to stop and toss the gun behind that fence with his left hand. The officer shouted "Show me your f---ing hands"... (2/4)
Toledo in what seems like about 1-3 seconds after tossing the gun threw his hands up without the gun in his hands.
From what I can tell the officer must have seen him pull the gun out to toss it, but didn't actually know he was intending to toss it. (3/4)
After shooting the kid he immediately ran over to call for an ambulance and rendered aid.
Fuck that adult who decided to bring a 13-year-old along for a violent crime, I'm glad he's getting charged with child endangerment. This is awful on so many levels.
(4/4)
I've noticed that a lot of people have failed to take the time to read the thread before leaving a comment about how I'm "defending the cop"
imo this seems to be manslaughter with current information combined with the officer's use of that strobe light on his gun.
If you're confused about how strobe lights work I highly recommend that you watch this video, it does a perfect job of explaining the issues with them
I did some additional reading on strobe lights and it's even surprising that the kid was able to toss the gun before putting his hands up. Strobing lights have caused helicopters to crash.
It's disappointing that the police department or city hasn't been able to provide an accurate timeline of events to the public.
It's on video that Toledo didn't have a gun in his hands when he put them up.

homeschooling should be banned with exceptions for special needs cases imo
my main contentions with homeschooling don't really have much to do with educational quality, It's mainly socialization.
If you're homeschooling your kids and have them in sports and other extracurricular activities I see no issue, but it's much harder for a kid to make...
There's also a decent amount of photo/video evidence that Ali Alexander was with Alex Jones at the capitol, he wasn't banned from Twitter for no reason
By "at the capitol" I don't just mean in the area for the event, he was apparently on the steps going around with Alex and his crew.
