"DeSantis received a law degree from Harvard and is a textualist when interpreting the Constitution. He believes barring the local authorities from placing restrictions on the people and businesses was squarely within his authority."

theepochtimes.com/mkt_breakingne…
If he believes it's "squarely within his authority," he should get rid of all mask mandates in Florida, including masks on children in schools!

"DeSantis adopted a hands-off approach to local regulations at first, thinking that voters would ultimately hold local authorities...
"responsible. It became obvious eventually that some places would remain locked down despite the data showing that doing so would have no positive impact on the spread of the virus.

"'They weren’t going to open this stuff up unless I pried it open,' DeSantis said."

.@GovRonDeSantis roundtable with Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, Dr. Scott Atlas, and @MartinKulldorff is starting now.

DeSantis says big media conglomerates are now cheerleaders of censorship.
Bhattacharya: "For science to work, you have to have an actual exchange of ideas... Let's have a debate... Censorship is not consistent with American norms... "
Kulldorff: "I'm very worried about the future of science... "

Atlas: "When you have this sort of censorship among universities... or ad hominem rebukes... stops people from being willing to say what they believe."
