Beat for beat the 1981 Lone Ranger film is better than most marvel films today.
There are so many little great scenes and arcs in this. The blood brother six as kids. The training of Silver and recovery scene. The pledge at the grave. The interrogation scene in the saloon. The Tonto rescue & the end fight scene. Also an incredibly underrated score.
There's a shot during the Silver training sequence where he's kicked off, and then the horse nudges him and it resonates better than anything in the Gore Verbinski film.
