1. Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority Bill (2021):
This Bill would harmonize all other Gaming and Lottery Bills into a single Bill and also to addresses contemporary issues and technological innovations in the gaming industry.
Governor @jidesanwoolu says the Lotteries Board Bill offers better platform for lottery companies to enhance equity, transparency and make their investment more rewarding.
2.Lagos State Public Complaints and Anti- Corruption Commission Bill (2021):
An anti-corruption agency would be created, which will have power to investigate issues of financial misappropriation issues across Government.
The Agency would also have Power to freeze accounts (subject to a court order). The Chairman of the Agency to be appointed by Mr Governor, subject to House of Assembly Confirmation.
The Attorney General, Mr Moyo Onigbanjo explains that: “If the investigation leads to prima facie case, the offender will be prosecuted in the court.”
He also said: “The anti-corruption commission agency to be established is akin to Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to prosecute misappropriation of public funds in the State”.
Mr Governor said the action was a testimony to the State Government’s effort towards entrenching accountability in governance and checking malfeasance among officers entrusted with public resources.
UPDATE: The Lagos State Police Command has commenced investigation into the attack on the Traffic Officer, ASP Daudu Ajayi, m, attached to Abattoir Division of the Command as captured in the video that went viral today Wednesday 21st April, 2021.

FLASH: Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu this afternoon, met @rrslagos767 Officer, ASP Erhator Sunday, who was assaulted by one Victor Ebhomenyen and his friend after driving against traffic at Oniru, Ikoyi few days ago, in a viral video.
Mr Governor commended the @rrslagos767 officer for his high-level of professionalism and restraint .... He encouraged other police officers to emulate the ASP.
CP Hakeem Odumosu confirms that the prime suspect, Victor, is in Police Custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, while his accomplice, Etinosa has been identified and efforts are on to arrest him too.

UPDATE: The Police Operatives attached to Sagamu Road Division, Ikorodu, Lagos State, on 15th April, 2021, at about 1210am, arrested one Rasheed Isiaka, M, 40, of No 4, Olowonisaye Street, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The suspect, who has been alleged of perpetrating many crimes in the entire Ikorodu area, has been placed under surveillance due to the intelligence gathered on him before he was evetually arrested.
Items recovered from him include two (2) locally-made pistols, one laptop, two suspected stolen Bajaj Motorcycles, two knives and some assorted charms.
