There is a saying in Tamil "நிழலின் அருமை வெயிலில் தெரியும்", means "one will realise the value of shade only under the hot sun"

Similarly one will know the value of the roads in India when one travels in countries like Bangladesh, Combodia, Gabon , Kazakhstan, Tajikistan etc
In India we can cover 1000 kms in a day by car, but it takes few days to cover 80 kms in some countries, vehicles get stuck in nasty roads , especially during rainy season roads become a quagmire

Just go back in time and recollect the condition of roads in India during Cong rule
Maslow's hierarchy is to attain the fifth level or stage: self-actualization.
Now that we have top class 4 track / 6 track roads ,we will naturally compare only with Autobahn roads , and we will never thank the Govt for bringing us from potholed filled roads to where we are today Image
We have more 4 track roads in Tamil Nadu than Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Pakistan and Sri Lanka put together. Will be ridiculous comparison
Once in Africa my Tour group got stuck in the roads of Tanzania for few days. You find surfaced road's only in city limits. Compare that with India. Its just WOW roads in India.

I am in the travel industry for over 25 years.

Once upon a time, a robber lived in a forest. His name was Ratna. He used to rob people and also kill them. People were always afraid of him. No one dared to walk in that forest alone. One day Narada Muni was passing through the forest. Ratna came forward to attack him
People who used to see Ratna used to run for their lives. Narada Muni feared no person. He faced Ratna. Narada Muni asked him why he robbed and killed people. This is cruel deed. A person who kills others commits sin. He asked Ratna to stop his evil deeds. Ratna replied that if
he stopped his deeds, than how would he take care of his family. He had to support his old parents, his wife, and two children. How was he going to feed them? Nareada replied: “To look after your family you must work hard but no one in your family will pay for your bad deeds.

#RamNavami

When Ravana took Mother Sita, she threw her jewellery on the ground so Lord Ram would find it.

When Lord Ram found it, He showed it to Lakshmana.

He showed the ring, the bracelet, the necklace but Lakshmana did not recognize any of it!!!
But when He showed Him the Nupur of the Feet, Lakshmana recognized it immediately.

Why???

Lakshmana said I have never looked at Mother Sita all my life. I have only looked at Her Lotus Feet……….and that is why He only recognized the Nupur.
Such was the Maryada! Such was the respect!

We must always remember that these examples were given to us so we can also follow them in our lives.

We must learn to live by the ideals that were shown to us by Gods who came in the form of humans to guide us.

The Central Tibetan Schools Administration ( CTSA) under MHRD runs 67 schools for Tibetan school Children. These schools are teaching Tibetan history to the Children instead of India History and Culture. Are we falling into the sectarian Tibetan agenda
Instead of promorting Tibetan Buddhism, shouldn't India be promoting Himalayan Buddhism. Now Chinese are trying to get an upper hand by promoting Tibetan Buddhism, thereby China wants to influence the entire Himalayan range from Ladhak to Arunachal

Already they are trying to push
They want to include BOTI ( Tibetan language ) in Schedule VIII of the Indian Constitution. This is subtle insertion of Tibetan sectarian history, religion and culture in Govt of India Curriculum, this has already happened in Ladhak, now they want it in Arunachal

On the occasion of #கலைஞர்தினம் let me tell you a sweet story of how Karunanidhi got the title of "scientific chor" from Judge Sarkariya
When Karunanidhi was the PWD minister 27000 bags of sugar went missing from the PWD godowns, Sarkariya commission was set up to probe the theft

Judge Sarkariya summoned Karunanidhi and asked him about the missing 27000 bags of sugar, Karunanidhi's cool reply was "Ants ate them "
The public Prosecutor and Judge virtually had a cardiac arrest on hearing it, they wanted time to recover from the shock, so they adjourned the hearing to the next day.

The next day Judge asked Karunanidhi " you say ants ate the 27000 gunny bags full of sugar, what happened to

Here is an incident from the Mahabharata,

It was definite that the Mahabharata war would take place once all the peace trials failed.

The kings from various lands had joined the Pandavas side or Duryodhanas side according to their inclination.
The Pandavas went and asked the king of Udupi, which side he would join.

The Udupi king said that he would not join any side, but he would undertake the job of feeding the soldiers on both the sides.

The Mahabharata war was waged mostly according to the dharma of wars.
So after the days battle was over, the soldiers of both sides would sit together and take their food.

During the meal, Sri Krishna would sit by the side of Yudhishtra Maharaj. The Udupi king would personally serve both of them.

Once there was a brahmana who lived just next to Lord Jagannath temple in Puri.

Everyday he used to supply water to the temple but not even once did he went to have the darshan of the Lord in the temple.

When somebody asked him why he is not entering into the temple and having
the darshan of the Lord, the brahmana said that the temple is just nextdoor.

So anytime he can have the darshan.

Everytime he said, “kal darshan karoonga – Tomorrow I shall have darshan”.

In this way he was telling kal , kal, kal..” tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow.
And one day kaal, i.e time in the form of death came and he died without having darshan of the Lord.

Moral of the story:

There are so many things which we can win over in this material world.

But there is one thing over which we have no control and that is time.
