LGBT Foundation is proud to support the full diversity of LGBT communities. We are shocked at the decision by the @ChtyCommission to grant charitable status to LGB Alliance.

"We are shocked that the Charity Commission has registered the self-styled LGB Alliance as we do not believe that any organisation which actively targets and campaigns against trans communities should be granted charitable status.

We will be raising this urgently with the Charity Commission.

This decision has caused a lot of pain for trans and non-binary people, a community who already face more stigma and hatred than any other part of our society.

To our trans and non-binary siblings – do not let days like today make you feel that you are alone. There are hundreds of thousands of lesbian, gay and bi allies by your side.

Be secure in the knowledge that you are loved, you are accepted, and we will always be there for you and with you.

We believe in a fair and equal society where all lesbian, gay, bi and trans people can achieve their full potential. We can only achieve this vision if we, as one community, work collectively to end discrimination and abuse for all LGBT people.

Trans and non-binary rights do not come at the expense of rights for anybody else. The progress we have made for LGBT equality in recent decades is a direct result of communities coming together. We have a proud & united history, just as we will have a proud & united future.
