Rama katha !
The irrigation tank of Madurantakam often gave way in heavy rains but the people of the place said their prayers to Ram, the presiding deity of the local temple. He always answered them and protected the tank bund from bursting. Lt.Col. Pierce, the British
Collector of Chingleput is closely associated with a pastime. Pierce said if that were true and if God protected the tank bund that day, he would donate for temple renovation. That night, Pierce was standing some distance away from the bund and anxiously watching if it would
break in the heavy rain. He suddenly noticed two effulgent figures carrying bows and arrows walking up and down. That night, no damage happened to the bund. The next day, Pierce kept his word. A plaque in the divine mother’s shrine speaks of the British Collector’s donation.

Goosebumps moment in Srirangam.
Today,a large number of devotees witnessed Nammazhwar Moksham ritual which happens on the 10th day of 2nd half of Adhyanotsavam every year. The ritual signifying Moksham(liberation) was performed for an hour from 6 a.m.The divine form of Nammazhwar
was taken out and was placed at the holy feet of Namperumal, marking the end of the 20-day Vaikunta Ekadasi festival.

Nammazhvaar didn’t want ‘life’ anymore. He asked for Moksham on the very first day. Nammazhvaar’s desire to attain Moksham is said to have been as big as the Image
sky. Lord, however, wanted to make a positive change to the world through his songs and wanted everyone to absorb the beautiful songs of Nammazhvar. As the Lord decided that the world should benefit from Nammazhvar’s songs, he delayed the Moksham of Nammazhvar till Image

Why is Kerala a 100 percent literate state? Thanks to Her Highness Sree Padmanabhasevini Vanchi Dharma Vardhini Raja Rajeshwari Maharani Uthrittathi Thirunal Gowri Parvathi Bayi, She is first one to start free education system in the whole world for that matter.
The beginning of modern education in Travancore can be traced to the issue of the Royal Rescript by Rani in 1817. Consider the fact that the "universal education" was not practiced in most countries, including those in the West at this point of time.
The Rescript of 1817 says:
"The state should defray the entire cost of the education of its people in order, that there might be no backwardness in the spread of enlightenment among them, that by diffusion of education they might become better subjects and public servants and that the reputation of the

Today is the Thirunakashtram of Andal (Jayanthi).
For the uninitiated, She is one among the 12 Azhwar saints of Srivaishnavism. Her works dedicated to the Supreme lord includes Thiruppavai and Nachiyar Thirumozhi. Some of the intricate doctrines of Srivaishnavism are to be found
in Thiruppavai . Andal never refers to herself as Andal. She would like to be known as Vishnuchittan Kodai, Vishnuchitta or Periyazwar is her father. She was born in Srivilliputhur. The Govt of Tamilnadu chose the Srivilliputhur temple gopuram as its State emblem.
So important is this girl-saint that every Vaishnavite temple has a special sannidhi (sanctum) for her. She is in love with Sri Ranganatha of Srirangam and wanted to marry him. Ranganatha appears in a dream and summons her to Srirangam. Resplendent in silks, jewels and garlands,

Unsung heroes of Padmanabha Swamy temple judgement! Meet Tharananallor Satheeshan Namboothirpad , the chief priest (Tantri) of Sri Padmanabha Perumal Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. His petition to the SC with @jsaideepak as the advocate, was instrumental in the verdict.
His selfless devotion to Sri Padmanabha Perumal is outstanding. A naishtika Brahmachari, he is a stickler for the grantha (text) handed over to his ancestors by Lord Parasurama himself for the worship of the temple of Sri Padmanabha. He remains steadfast and uncompromising on
the rituals of the temples and the traditional customs. His extensive expertise of the scriptures and granthas was instrumental to getting this favorable verdict and this knowledge is quoted widely in the complete judgement. In this yuga of greed and personal aggrandizing,

A very personal acquaintance and close friend who is the chief priest of Padmanabha temple of Thiruvananthapuram shared some wisdom which i am penning down ,

It is believed that India is Devabhumi or the Land of Devathas . This land is rich with countless religious.
denominations and temples. We have on the north and south, two Deities who are Lord Narayana's manifestations with His fullest potency - Badari Vishal and Sree Padmanabha Perumal . Any country will have checkposts on the borders to secure its territory. These two Temples may be
considered as divine checkposts into this Devabhumi.

Now may I invite your attention into two slokas from "Prasnamargam", a book on astrology. Though Jupiter can denote all Iswaras, the planet most importantly stands for Lord Vishnu. The book says "Jeevosthu Narayanah"
