cultures do not generally overhunt as these animals sustain them. It beggars belief now we know these Clovis weapons were restricted to a 300 yr period, that they managed to go all over the Americas suddenly imbued with a death wish. What is far more likely especially given

they appear to have also come to an abrupt halt culture wise, something else was responsible for BOTH. Most likely, dramatic & abrupt climate changes we KNOW happened & dwarf worst climate alarmism now, was responsible for both. There is also the fact that other geographic areas

which did not have such 'new spear tech', also suffered megafauna loss, yet in Africa, megafauna (elephants, rhino etc) survived despite hunting cultures there. Most likely explanation was central Africa was not so badly affected by change. Certainly we know the San bushmen

paintings indicate elephants were a main hunting source: & judge yourself the amount of arrows in the elephants head. The abrupt climate change at end of Younger Dryas in partic would have seen massive changes in vegetation/land which megafauna & predators, were simply too

What is more, less specialized food wise megafauna mammals, such as polar bear,

even managed to survive the extended ice free arctics of the early to mid Holocene, and it beggars belief humans went out and hunted to extinction all the smilodon because they were competition for food sources & a threat to humans, but left polar bears alone. Also musk ox, and

So is it not stretching the bounds of credulity that humans just happened to have overhunted all the specialist habitat species, despite smilodon & mammoth being harder prey and less represented in human sites bone/butchery wise? Face it: the overhunt hypothesis was always rooted

in frankly racist social Darwinism & before that Christian puritan beliefs that hunter gatherers were ignorant, less than human, uncivilized savages hunting everything to extinction; yet everywhere such cultures still exist today have sustainably managed their environments even
