I saw a few posts especially one by Peri Maheshwar about Bombay Oxygen company share Prices go up abnormally in the last month.
It intrigued me to dig more and some startling facts have emerged.

One Privately held company Inoxair alone contributes 50% of India's Medical Oxygen needs. It has more than 50 Plants across almost the entire nation.

The group's only public listed company - Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd Share Price was hovering steadily around 530-550 price bandwidth upto March 15th suddenly started to rise and rose to 727, 5 days ago. It's an increase of roughly 40% in 25 days flat.

For the discerning with my knowledge of how markets work I can say 2 things with utmost certainty.
One there was information to a privileged few about an impending Oxygen Crisis and hence they started buying those shares,

Two the moment the news became public the price started declining though not as fast as it rose.
Inference: a few bulk traders privy to this news in advance are profiting as there is a rush of retail investors wanting to buy.

Worldwide in the stock market, only 5% make a profit, and 95% lose money. Bulk traders are 5% and retail investors are 95%.
The BIG Question is not who profited in the share market but was this crisis manmade?

Statistics show in Jan 21 export of medical oxygen rose 734% compared to Jan 20. How did Govt fail to notice such a huge surge in export, What was the Drug Controller and Director General of Foreign Trade doing or not doing by curbing the export?

Is it an Incompetence or Deliberate act to benefit a few at the cost of precious Human Lives?
And on a lighter note, you almost always see the name "Gujarat" behind every national crisis
