“A wall of armed, mounted police and barriers separated the extremist Jews’ rally from the Palestinians. The clash — which so many of them seemed to crave — was not going to arrive. The two sides were left to lob insults from behind ranks of police.” timesofisrael.com/in-jerusalem-p…
@RashidaTlaib Instead of trying to be part of the solution, you are simply part of the problem and fomenting more violence instead of calling for calm.
Not only were there isolated attacks on both sides --- like this one of Palestinian youths beating up a Jew last night (& laughing):
@RashidaTlaib And this one of Palestinian youths beating up a women ...
@RashidaTlaib And this one of Palestinian youths kicking a Jewish man in the middle of the street
@DeanObeidallah THREAD: This is total nonsense and you are perpetuating a lie.
Under the Oslo Accords, the Palestinian Authority (PA) is responsible for healthcare of its people, including all vaccinations, for Palestinians in West Bank and Gaza.
The PA has been doing for nearly 30yrs.
@DeanObeidallah Additionally, under Oslo & the Geneva Convention (to the extent it applies here), the two sides are to cooperate in fighting epidemics.
However, the PA cut ties with Israel, and never requested help in securing vaccines:
@IlhanMN Thread: While many of us desperately want a two state solution, your support of BDS & one-sided condemnation is an impediment to a two state, peaceful solution.
@IlhanMN He supports a 1state solution where Israel will be replaced by a Palestinian state encompassing all of what is now Israel &the Palestinian territories.
“Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine” (he considers all of Israel Palestine)
@IlhanMN He rejects the idea of a binational state, stating that "the binational model assumes that there are two nations with equal and competing moral claims to the land, and therefore we have to accommodate both national rights." /
