In 2000, Israeli Prime Minister Barak accepted the Clinton parameters and Arafat walked away from the table & rejected them. In Clinton's own words:
Hamas overthrew the PA in 2007 in a bloody coup, and started immediately launching missiles at Israel, vowing to destroy it

Until you pressure both sides, equally, to return to the table and negotiate for peace, you are part of the problem, not the solution
