David and Silverback in the last few years have made animated animal kingdom movies obsolete. The actual drama is way more fascinating than some fish swimming to Sydney to find a baby. Animals, fish, birds live not Disney lives but HBO 11 PM lives. Much sex and violence!
Anyway, after ruining the crab's nap, dude then tries a flattened plastic bottle. Too light. Eventually the scene ends with this incredible bit of teamwork with all the dudes carrying a coconut shell back for the boss lady to do it on.

Uncle Joe is not flawless, but he does NOT do grudges. Especially when people are hurt more than governments. India needs to take a deep breath and realize that this sudden wholesale blaming of the US is the biggest #MalviyaMavalis IT cell win since the SSR distractions.
As an American, I'm doing my best to pressure the federal govt to do more. But a lot of indian anger against the US, while very understandable, is misguided.
First of all, US system is way more complex and slow moving, especially after Trump gutted almost every agency.
Sure, a lot of these controls can and should be moved. But Biden is not an "announce something on primetime news at 8 pm and let everyone figure it out at midnight" type leader. Nor is Klain. In a couple of days, I'm sure we will hear of more action and help for India.

An instance from 2016 India about how much even the smallest such extra cash gifts mean to India's non-elites forced to live in a "cheap labor is our competitive advantage" economy in times of crisis. Modi had declared 85% of all cash illegal overnight. India was in panic.
There was a strict limit of how much cash you could withdraw from YOUR OWN bank account. A month into that chaos, we had to fly to Bombay overnight cos father in law, who was visiting india, passed away there. And take care of a LOT of things, without PayTM (cos foreigners).
My family in pune, hers in bombay, lots of things to be done in both cities. Had to make many trips between and within both cities, and neither of us have ever driven a car in India. Thankfully our usual cab for hire dude said he is okay with checks or transfers later from mom.

For those Americans and other non-Indians looking to donate for dealing with the horrific second surge in India, I'm going to make a thread of organizations I recommend donating to. Lot of hindu RW and fascists in the mix you should avoid. My recos are from personal experience.
I'll start off with what in my personal experience is the gold standard for humanitarian work in the south asian ecosystem. @Khalsa_Aid is there everywhere, from natural disasters to feeding and caring for BLM and women's march protesters. 501c in US.

Yup. This. Tell this loudly to bhakts in your whatsapp groups pushing lies. Bhakts count on being able to get away with spreading these lies because normal people don't like getting into fights. But if you don't get into whatsapp fights with fascists even now, when will you?
The more you keep silent when bhakts spread their IT cell planted lies, thinking "why take unnecessary panga", the more their poison spreads. Fascism can't be kept out by ignoring it. Eventually, they will come for everyone, even themselves. That is fascism. That is sanghism.

Just a reminder that capitalism ki original dukaan USA has been giving the vaccine for free to everyone. Trump and Biden disagreed on almost everything but not this. Not even Donald Trump, chindhichor supreme, did not nickle and dime his own citizens for a vaccine in a crisis.
Your alumni/RWA whatsapp warriors might be pushing lies or at least half-truths about US vaccination being paid or only for the insured or only for citizens or some such nonsense. False. If you see those bhakt lies, respond with this. From the C D effing C!
Donald Trump legally made millions from taxpayers for his properties while president, made military make unnecessary stops so he could make an extra buck. Even that bhikari traitor didn't think, hey, vaccine everyone needs is the time to try "market" reforms and cut costs.

How much they must have run the economy into the ground if they're unable to even subsidize a ₹500 per person vaccine, something almost literally every other country is managing to do. Even US Republicans. Bhakts passing it off as some genius "market" idea. But reality is
₹500 is about $7. For a billion adults, that would be $7 billion. Not exactly a big burden for a 3 trillion economy. You could normally find that much in the couch cushions in North Block. So either they are very very broke. Or they are treating this as a natural purge.
Even the Trump admin, the most "small government" in US history, which gutted the pandemic plan set up by Obama and caused the US to lose this many lives... Even that Trump admin decided to make the vaccine free. Not even a debate. And they are the econ heroes of this lot.
