Some yet to be identified gun men today 24/04/2021; attempted to attack the residence of His. Excellency Sen. Hope Uzodimma which was roundly repelled by the security men stationed at the gates and around the environ.

At about 9am today, Saturday, April 24th, a group of hoodlums numbering about 15 driving in a motorcade of three vehicles accompanied by a tipper loaded with used tyres, stormed the country home of the governor in Omuma, Oru East LGA and attempted to burn down the house

Those men arrived in gestapo style, opened fire at the security agents who responded with a more superior fire power before they (attackers) resorted in the shooting of innocent people who were just passersby, regrettably, many sustained various degrees of injuries.

However, vigilant security operatives attached to the governor's house successfully repelled the attack and consequently minimized the damage they had planned to unleash

They (Attackers) sustained heavy casualties by the security agents stationed at His Excellency's residence.

They burnt some vehicles parked at the area, and the fire gutted the security post as no other building in the compound was razed.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the foiled attack may have been politically sponsored, thus the opposition should be reminded that no amount of distraction against the state government can stop the already led down process of reconstruction, rehabilitation and Recovery.

Disregard any media propaganda that may emanate from the enemies of the state as the perpetrators will be fished out and be made to face the full wrath of the law.
