Imo state has been a flashpoint for all manner of attacks by some elements for some time now.
The happenings within the state, calls for urgent attention to pause and think where possibly the instigation of unrest in the state must have emanated from .
It is obvious that certain aggrieved political overlords are not happy having lost to hold grip of the state hence engaging and siding with unscrupulous elements to make Imo State ungovernable for Gov Hope Uzodimma.
Imo state before now was one of the most peaceful states in South East before Gov Hope Uzodimma came on board via the Court judgement.
It is also clear that Gov Uzodimma has done well as against the widely sold falsehood that Imo was in for stagnation & unserious governance.
It is clear that the unrest been witnessed in imo in the recent time are as a result of bottled up grudges following the Supreme Court pronouncement. But here are some of the questions we need to ask
Why has IPOB suddenly picked Imo state, an APC as its experimental ground?
Why is IPOB not picking any other state in South East as theater of war?
Have we heard from any of the notable opposition leaders? Has anyone of them condemned the unprovoked, mindless and incessant attacks?
Imo State people should know that they have no other state, and if they continue to look on as disgruntled political elements in conjunction with IPOB group destroy their beloved states, there will be no place to return to.
