Just home from frontline ED, late shifts every weekend since pandemic. And I'm horrified to see images of anti-lockdown protesters in London.
Devastating for NHS staff spending entire year serving public, losing colleagues, risking our lives & families. Is this what we deserve?
Beside NHS and its staff from all different backgrounds, other key workers and millions of people, in the country and globally, have suffered and sacrificed.
It's not time for hatred or misinformation. Let's get behind science in solidarity and show each other compassion.
On behalf of NHS colleagues, thank you all for yr kind support & compassion.
Big welcome to my new followers. I'm senior A&E doc in NHS, run @teleheal charity responding to COVID globally & author of upcoming 'In the Wars' memoir. I also advocate for refugees & mental health.
